Tony and Pepper slowly got into a new groove of things. Tony came over more often occasionally staying over. They went out on date nights each Friday while Natasha would watch Morgan with Steve. However, there was a lot more going on than simply their relationship even if it crept up on her and Tony. It was a Saturday morning. Natasha had driven over to bring Morgan to hang out with the Barton's for the day leaving Pepper and Tony alone.
"You know Potts there's a whole lotta things we could do right now." Pepper shot a glare his way
"Tony we are not 15."
Tony smirked "You don't look a day over 20 Pep." She shot him another glare but froze when the doorbell rang. Tony groaned getting up from the couch to answer the door. "What?" He demanded swinging it open.
"Tony!" Pepper chided but relaxed realizing it was only Steve.
"What is it, Rogers?" Tony asked desperate to spend time with his girlfriend again.
"Can I talk to you two for a second?" He asked sounding quieter than normal Pepper nodded before Tony could come up with a snide remark.
"Of course." Once they settled into the living room Tony was quick to question Steve
"Why didn't you go to the Barton's today? Is there trouble in paradise? You and little red breaking up? I call full custody of red." Pepper jabbed him silencing his commentary for a moment.
"I have something really important to ask the two of you." They both nodded Tony is even partially interested now. "I know the two of you are a very important part of Natasha's life so I was wondering if it would be alright with the two of you if I asked Nat to marry me?" Pepper gasped clutching a hand over her mouth
"Oh my goodness!!!! Of course!!!!" She gave Steve an unexpected hug a grin appearing on her face. Tony's face clouded but broke into a smile eventually
"If you hurt her Rogers, me, and Barton will beat the shit out of you." Steve nodded gulping. As Steve left Tony turned to Pepper grinning widely. "Romanogers is getting married!!!!" He shouted swinging Pepper up into the air. Pepper let out a laugh
"Romanogers?" Tony rolled his eyes
"There ship name of course Sam and Bucky came up with it." Pepper shook her head grinning
"Of course they did." Pepper was truly happy for Natasha. To finally be married to a man she loved. But it terrified Pepper at the same time. What if things turned bad for Natasha just like it had been with Tony?
