The Christmas buzz had died down. Morgan's new toys quickly became old. The Christmas music faded away slowly turning back into regular music. It was a few days before Morgan would return back to school and Pepper went back to work so the two had spent the last few days relaxing. Morgan was asleep out on the couch while Kim Possible played on the TV. Pepper's phone rang jolting Morgan awake.

"Mommy!!!! Your phone is ringing!!!!" Morgan screeched pulling a pillow over her head. Pepper sighed picking up her phone

"Pepper Potts." She spoke clearly making her way to her room.

"Why hello Miss. Potts." Tony responded making her grin happier than she'd willingly admit.

"How can I help you, Mr. Stark?" She asked through her smile. "You see Pep I'm having a new years party and I was wondering if you would come? No kids allowed by the way." Pepper froze conflicted. On one hand, she yearned to spend time with Tony again but on the other hand, she didn't want to fall back into the loophole of misery that followed him around.

"I'm not sure." She began hesitantly "I don't want to leave Morgan alone." Tony let out a sigh

"Come on Pep, I'll call up Clint and get Lila to watch her pretty pretty please." She let out a chuckle

"Fine, I'll come." He cheered over the phone

"See you then Pep."

"Goodbye Tony." She replied curtly hanging up before he could respond. She was unsure of what to do. She could call him back and make up some excuse for why she wasn't able to make it. A couple of months ago she probably would've. But now. Now felt different. Now she was seeing the old Tony. The Tony who she still held love for dearly. The Tony who would take her on spontaneous road trips to the beach, and call her at midnight just to say hi. The man who gave her the most important person in her life. Her Momo.

"Mummy I'm hungry," Morgan whined snapping Pepper out of her thoughts.

"Let's get you something to eat big girl," Pepper said lifting Morgan into her arms. She didn't know what was going to happen with her and Tony but the most important thing was taking care of the most important person to her. Morgan.
