Warnings: None, just Xue Yang being his charming self.
Without any warning, Xue Yang grabbed Wei Ying's wrist and dragged him unceremoniously out of the kitchen. As they were exiting the place, Wei Ying turned towards Lan Zhan and offered him an apologetic smile. Unbeknownst to him, Xue Yang also glanced towards Lan Zhan just in time to see him balling his hands in fists.
"Let's go to your room so we can talk privately," Xue Yang added as an afterthought, making sure it was within Lan Zhan's earshot.
Wei Ying looked at his friend with a surprised look on his face. They reached the point where Xue Yang couldn't drag Wei Ying anymore because he didn't know the way to Wei Ying's room. He rolled his eyes and just told Xue Yang: "follow me."
Finally arriving at his room, he turned towards Xue Yang as soon as he closed the door behind them.
"Why are you being so weird?" he asked him. The only response he got from his friend was a pointedly arched eyebrow. "Well, weirder than usual," he provided.
A self-satisfied smirk appeared briefly on Xue Yang's face. Immediately changing his expression to one that meant business. He even forgot to express his opinion about Wei Ying's childhood room's decor, which was still full of planes. The only changes Wei Ying had made to the room were photographs of Suibian and him in various competitions.
"As I said before, we need to talk," Xue Yang said in a very serious tone that made Wei Ying wonder what the fuck was going on.
"About what? Can't it wait?" Wei Ying asked. Xue Yang was behaving like a mysterious shit, and that could result in something hilarious or something to be worried about, there could never be middle ground when Xue Yang was involved.
"Nope, it can't wait. It is about going back to school in the UK." Xue Yang told him, his eyes betrayed a hint of fret, he even started picking on his nails. Over the time they had been friends, Wei Ying noticed that was the only thing that would give his friend's nervousness away.
"Ah, yeah." Wei Ying admitted, "we really need to talk about that, Xue Yang," he nervously agreed. He had been meaning to talk to Xue Yang about it, but the whirlwind of events that followed Lan Zhan's call had really distracted him. Besides, he had decided on it on a whim, after seeing his Uncle Qiren lying on that hospital bed.
"I won't be going back," Xue Yang finally declared, looking shy and worried about the news.
"What? Why?" Wei Ying asked him truly surprised, he wasn't expecting this. It was completely aligned to his own plans, but it was still unexpected.
"Well, about that..." Xue Yang looked hesitant to continue. "You remember my boyfriend, right?"
Wei Ying honestly wished he didn't since the image of their... activities was a memory he was more than ready to file in the oblivious part of his brain.
"Wen Xu? What's with him?" he was curious, it was not as Xue Yang would let anyone influence his decisions. Why would Wen Xu have such power over Xue Yang?
"He's leaving his school in the UK and coming back home. I can't do long distance relationships, so I decided to come back too," Xue Yang said in one go, without pausing to breathe.
