Day of departure...
The world has fallen into complete chaos. Most governments have collapsed. There is a new combined government that rules most of the world. This new government has proven to be evil. They randomly bomb cities over and over for enjoyment. They could careless about the people of the planet. Today, I'd return home. I had contacted Aubrey to check on things at home and everything was ok. The flight home would take a while, so Brayden and I would have time to catch up. I went and found him and we began to talk. "Ready to go?," he asked. "More ready than ever." We had to get there stealthily. Nobody could know about the departure or they would tear you to pieces for a ride home. We stealthily made our way out of the base and made it to the chopper. We exchanged a few words with the pilot and boarded the chopper. We just barely left the ground when people started running towards the copper trying to get to it before it left the ground. We were just out of their reach when they reached the chopper. I looked down at them clawing and screaming for a ride home. I looked down and all I could do was frown. I felt bad for them. They had a family and friends too. I shook my head and had to remember that my family needed me. I needed to be there for them. They'd get a ride home soon too, right? We ttook to the sky and were on our way home... What seemed like days passed. When we arrived home, I had a terrible surprise waiting there for me...
