25th September: Glasgow

"Arthur," Everly scolded, Andrea and Nia sighed in relief when they realised they hadn't actually lost their lead singer, "where the hell have you been?"

"It's a long story," he was slightly breathless and he was holding a four-pack of Reeses Peanut Butter Cups.

"Well can you tell us this long story on this bus?" Nia asked, "the guys have been waiting for ages."

The now reunited band made their way onto the tour bus, Arthur passed his luggage to the driver, who went to go and store it safely. As soon as they were in the backroom, Arthur slumped down on one of the seats.

"Nice of you to show up," Michael laughed, "what happened?"

Arthur sat up in his chair and inhaled, "so after we got off of the ferry it was crowded wasn't it?" he paused for a second and everyone nodded slowly, "well I was right behind you guys, but then I bumped into this old woman and long story short she thought I was her grandson. I was obviously trying to tell her I wasn't her grandson in the politest way possible whilst trying to walk with you guys, but she wasn't listening so I had to make up a lie saying I was going to be late for my bus and she gave me a packet of these!" he helps up the orange packet of peanut butter cups, "I don't even like them!"

"I do," Everly held out her hands, "pass 'em here." Arthur threw the packet to her and she gladly opened it up and began to eat.

Once the bus had started to move, everyone started to do their own thing. Nia and Arthur had gone to replace their guitar strings, Michael was up front talking to the driver, Luke and Everly were in their respective bunks trying to get some well-deserved rest and Ashton was at the back of the bus along with Andrea and Calum. The drummer had his headphones on and he looked very in the moment so neither disturbed him.

"How long till we get to Glasgow?" Andrea questioned, she was leaning against the corner of the sofa with her feet up.

"Two and a half hours, I think," she groaned, long journeys weren't her thing.

"What do you usually do?" he looked at her confused, "when you're on a long journey like this."

"It honestly really depends," he leaned back further into the sofa, "sometimes sleep, talk to my mum, play a video game, or watch a movie. What do you do? You've been on at least a two-hour car ride before?"

Andrea nodded thinking back to all the times she went to Cornwall for the summer holidays, "I usually read or write something if I have inspiration."

"Do you have a book with you?"

"Yeah I do," she opened her bag and pulled out one of her books, "but what are you going to do whilst I read?"

Calum shrugged and put his feet up on the table, "watch tv, as long as that won't distract you."

"I'll be fine," Andrea opened up her book and began to read. Reading was one of her favourite things to do as well as writing music, but with reading, you end up getting lost in a different world. She was reading The Mortal Instruments City of Glass, well rereading it. Andrea only packed books she knew she would enjoy and that ended up being half of the books she read as a teen. Since being in a band, Andrea didn't have the time to read as she was always writing.

After reading three chapters, Andrea finally looked up from her book, her eyes were hurting, and she was hungry and needed to stretch her legs. The first thing she noticed was that Ashton had gone and that Calum had fallen asleep. Carefully, Andrea removed her legs from the sofa and sat up properly, she stretched her arms and stood up.
