31st October: Paris
When the bus arrived in Paris at six am, Andrea didn't know how to feel. In six hours she would be out on the streets of Paris with Calum and she didn't know why. In one sense she was glad it was six hours and not twelve but because she was so nervous, she wished it was further away. What could Calum possibly want to talk to her about? If she wasn't an overthinker she would've just thought it was something to do with bass, but the way Calum rushed out his words and the urgency in his voice didn't settle Andrea's nerves at all.
Once they were all checked in at the hotel, Andrea dragged an exhausted Arthur with her up to their room. Sharing a room with Arthur wasn't all too bad and this time he was tired so he just collapsed on his bed and went straight to sleep. She took his shoes off for him and covered him in the duvet, but that was all. Arthur hadn't been himself recently he was distant with everyone, especially Everly. Of course, Arthur couldn't help it if he didn't return her feelings but he could at least tell her.
At exactly ten in the morning Calum woke up, he was thankful to be sharing with Michael as he is the heaviest sleeper. Everyone had planned to sleep into at least midday so Calum was glad Michael was still asleep when he decided to get up. He knew Michael and he was one hundred percent sure that Michael wouldn't leave him alone until he told him.
Looking in the full-length mirror, Andrea sighed. This was the third thing that didn't look right. What exactly was she supposed to wear when she didn't even know what this whole thing was about. She got a message from Calum saying that if anyone asks where they're going tell them that they were going out to talk about bass business, whatever the hell that was.
Once Andrea was finally ready, she silently walked out of the room being careful not to wake Arthur. Downstairs, Calum was sitting in the lobby messing with the sleeve of his jacket. He looked nervous whereas Andrea was more confused. She brushed over her skirt before walking over to Calum.
"Oh hey," he looked up at her, "you ready to go?"
"Yeah," and with nothing else said, Andrea, followed Calum out of the hotel with no idea where she was going. Neither of them walked very fast and that's probably because they didn't get to the hotel until six am this morning.
Paris was definitely on the list of top five places Andrea had been to. It looked like one of those cliché scenes that you find in movies or books. The streets weren't really that busy as people were evenly littered around the town.
"Where are we actually going?" Andrea stepped closer to Calum, trying to lighten the mood a little bit.
"Well," he began smiling to himself, Andrea was glad she pulled him away from his nervousness, "Ash and I go here whenever we're in Paris it's extremely quiet so we shouldn't be disturbed."
Calum was probably thinking about the rumours and if they were seen out together it would fuel them even more. Ever since the airport incident, multiple articles had published about what happened. Andrea thought it was ridiculous as she was obviously stressed out and Calum helped her, were friends not allowed to help each other without people assuming they were dating?
In all fairness, Andrea wasn't really bothered by them. She mostly avoided Twitter as that's where most of the bad and extreme rumours were. Recently, Andrea hadn't had any time for social media anyway. Most of the time, she only used her phone for talking to her family and messaging Arthur when he had disappeared before going onstage.
Calum was freaking out. He could see the café and the closer he got to it the more nervous he would get. In all honesty, Calum would rather turn back and go to the hotel and sleep for the rest of the day, but he had to do this. At some point, Andrea would find out on her own and that would cause more of an issue.
