28th October: Ljubljana

Over the past few days, Calum had tried to make his mood less noticeable. Unfortunately, that didn't work, Michael and Luke hadn't picked up on it, but they're clueless so he didn't really expect much of them. He didn't know the guys in the other band too well, apart from Andrea so he wasn't really surprised that she and Ashton had picked up on his mood. A few days ago, Calum told Andrea to drop it, which in all fairness, she sort of had, but Ashton had finally picked up on it so last night when Ashton announce he and Calum were sharing a room the bassist was not surprised.

When they got in last night, Calum made sure to abandon his usual routine and get straight into bed. He heard Ashton curse him, but was glad he left it alone. This morning, he did his best to hide away from the drummer by getting up at an unreasonable time to get dressed and take a shower. Ashton wasn't stupid, he also was a light sleeper so he heard Calum get up at quarter to six this morning. So as soon as that shower had turned off, a tried Ashton stood in front of the bathroom door so Calum couldn't escape.

Calum opened the bathroom door and adjusted the towel around his waist, but he almost dropped it when seeing his bandmate standing in front of him with his hands on his hips looking grumpy. Luckily for Calum, Ashton said he would never mention how scared he got just from seeing him at the door.

"So are you going to tell me what's going on?" Calum visibly gulped, he highly doubted Andrea would like Calum to go around telling people what he heard on the phone, in fact, he doubted that Andrea would even like Calum to know. In all seriousness, she was yelling so technically it wasn't Calum's fault, well that's what he keeps telling himself.

"Right, well the thing is," how the hell was he supposed to tell Ashton what he heard on the phone without actually telling him what he heard on the phone, "I'm not even supposed to know."

"Know what?" Ashton looked at him skeptically, "I can't help you if you don't tell me."

"I don't think I can tell you though," he wouldn't do that to Andrea, if she wanted anyone to know she would've told them herself. Calum already felt bad enough for eavesdropping on her.

Ashton sighed, he moved back over to his bed and Calum followed him. He was getting kind of cold just standing in the doorway of the bathroom with nothing on except a towel around his waist. He quickly got dressed, deciding his warmth was more important than how he looked at this moment in time.

"Don't tell me if you don't want to," Ashton finally spoke up, "you don't have to say anything, but how will you get this problem resolved? It clearly has been bothering you and if you're not careful Michael and Luke will notice and they won't leave you alone until they find out what's the matter. You can just ignore me right now and we can carry on with our day, but you won't have any possible solutions for your dilemma."

One thing Calum knew for sure was that no one, not even the world deserved Ashton Irwin. He was extremely selfless and would rather listen to his friend's problems than share his own with them. In the years he has known Ashton, not once has he ever complained to Calum about anything, maybe that was bad because he was bottling it all up and on countless occasions, the drummer has told him not to bottle things up.

"I kinda eavesdropped on Andrea," he admitted, Calum searched his bandmate's face for any disappointment as he knew what he did was wrong, but Ashton just motioned for him to continue, "it was the other night when I went to go and find her and ask if she wanted to go out with us. I got to her room and I was about to knock, but I heard her yell at someone on the phone. I swear I didn't mean to do it but it was as if my feet were stuck to the ground and I couldn't move. The part that's messed me up the most is what I heard and I have so many questions and I just wish I never heard the end part of the conversation."
