16th October: Hamburg

Andrea had never felt so tired in her life. It took her six and a half hours to get to Hamburg from Brussels and she was spent. Everyone had managed to get some sleep, but she hadn't slept at all. Andrea stared at her phone for an hour after the message she had gotten from her mum. She really should've told her mum that she was still getting letters from him, begging her to visit but she didn't want to worry her.

When they got to the hotel at six am, Andrea lay awake until eight. She didn't bother replying to her mum, she knew she'd get yelled at when in reality Andrea was keeping her safe.

At breakfast, Calum noticed Andrea was nowhere to be seen. He asked her bandmates, but Nia said that she was still in bed. Calum didn't know what was going on with her, all he wanted to do was help the best he can. He tried to get his mind off it as he didn't want anything else to be on his mind when today was supposed to be a break for them. Luckily, Ashton managed to distract him with something about the show tomorrow.

Slowly, the door creaked open and Nia came into the room to find Andrea staring at the plain ceiling. Andrea's mind was everywhere, it had been three years today since it happened so Andrea wasn't surprised she had a letter from him. She felt Nia's worried eyes on her, "he sent a letter to my mum's house and she found it."

"She mad?" Andrea nodded, she sat up in bed and quickly stretched, "you don't have to come out today if you don't want to," Nia reassured her, "I'll tell the guys you're ill or something." Andrea declined, she would be fine she wasn't going to see her brother anytime soon and it had been three years. "We're going out today," Nia announced, "I think we're just looking around town maybe get some food or something, Ashton still hasn't given us the schedule."

"He will later," Andrea reassured as Ashton was never one to begin something without a plan. Even if he had to wait for mostly everyone to write down what he was saying so they wouldn't forget. The majority of the time, everyone lost their schedule or someone stole it meaning they had to ask Ashton anyway.

Andrea finally decided to get ready for the day, she may not have had much sleep, but after a few energy drinks, she should be fine. She brushed her teeth and took a quick shower before sitting at the dressing table in a dressing gown trying to sort out her hair. The bassist didn't bother using a hairdryer instead she let it dry naturally as the dryer would just mess it all up again.

Andrea used quite a lot of makeup to try and cover the fact that she had not slept at all because she didn't want Calum to worry. She applied a bit of eyeliner and mascara to make herself seem more presentable, before starting on her outfit. For some reason, Andrea loved skirts she did like jeans and trousers as well, but for stage and going out she found it easier to move around in them.

The bassist ended up wearing a white shirt with a blue crewneck over the top. She wore one of her favourite black skirts with black tights to keep her legs warm and chunky black boots with silver decoration. Andrea picked up a tote bag, which coincidentally was her band's merch.

Once everyone was dressed and ready, the eight of them walked around the closest town to the hotel. The streets were rather quiet, which Andrea was thankful for due to how tired she was. Calum was walking beside her, he looked concerned, Andrea didn't want that so she tried her best to be more like her usual self.

Whilst walking next to Calum, Andrea noticed that he was wearing his own tour merch. She made a mental note to ask John about making more merch as all they had so far was a few beanies, a couple of totes, and t-shirts in about every colour you could think of.

"How did you sleep last night?" the question surprised Andrea, she briefly stopped and Calum raised an eyebrow.

"Alright," unfortunately for her Calum could see straight through her, she tried to shrug off his worried gaze but that didn't help.

"What's up?" Calum tried to slot his way through Andrea's mind, but all he could see was tiredness. Ashton was way better at reading people than he was, maybe he should actually listen the next time Ashton is explaining something.

"The sky," Calum rolled his eyes, but still sent her a look to which she replied, "I'm fine, ok?"

"If you insist," he sighed, but didn't continue asking her questions. Calum watched her intently as she carried on walking through the town.

Due to the time of year, most of the leaves were covering the ground golden brown and orange. Autumn was definitely an under-appreciated season, it wasn't Andrea's favourite but it definitely was a beautiful time of year. That's until the weather turns terrible and unfortunately for all of them, the fog began to form and Andrea felt a drop of rain.

They all knew that they had to get back to the hotel soon so the eight of them began to make their way back to the hotel.

Whilst walking back, Calum noticed that Andrea looked cold. To be fair he was cold and he was wearing a thick hoodie for crying out loud. He wouldn't mind the cold as much if he knew that Andrea was warm. Before he could ask he thought about how that would raise some questions. He could say it was just the average thing to do, but he didn't see Luke giving Nia his jacket.

"Bet you wished you had one of these right now," Andrea looked at Calum pulling on his hoodie.

"Definitely, I might just raid your merch stand," he laughed.

"I'll get you something," she went to protest, but he stopped her, "later I'll show you what we've got and you can choose what you want."

"I definitely want one of those," she motioned to Calum's hoodie and pulled up the hood, "now you look a lot cuter like that," and if Calum's cheeks turned red at that, no one had to know.

Back at the hotel, everyone minus Andrea was in the lounge discussing tonight's plans. Arthur was pretty desperate to go out somewhere and Nia agreed. Calum didn't see what else they could do for the rest of the night so he easily agreed.

After everyone had agreed, Calum had announced he'd go and ask Andrea if he wanted to join, but before he could leave the room their tour manager, Sarah, walked in. Technically he was only Calum's and the guys' tour manager, but she was also managing the other band until they got their own.

"Sorry to bother you guys, but I just had an idea come to mind and I think it would be easier and definitely cheaper if we do it this way," Sarah always came prepared, she had the facts and figures, the advantages and disadvantages and that's what made her a great manager, "you don't have to agree to this it's honestly up to you guys. We get back in LA on the sixth of November and unfortunately for those guys," she pointed to Arthur, Everly, and Nia, "they don't have apartments there. Now I can book you all a hotel for eight nights or you guys," she pointed to, Calum, Ashton, Luke, and Michael, "can share your apartments with them."

Calum thought the idea over, it definitely would be better and as Sarah said, cheaper. He currently lived with Ashton, but having someone extra around wouldn't be so bad. He didn't mind who it was, but secretly he hoped it would be Andrea.

Ashton looked and him and nodded, "me and Cal will share." Luke and Michael nodded along.

Sarah sighed, "that's great, you can sort out who's staying with who later, but I'll let you get back to whatever you were doing, I need to do some work so I'll see you guys later."

Once she left, Calum went to go and ask Andrea if she wanted to join them on their outing to a club in like an hour. He got to the door, but before he could knock he heard her yelling.

"I'm obviously not going to tell you where I am," Calum stopped in his tracks, who was she talking to? "You'll find me anyway, are you going to get one of your little friends to track my location again? It must be so sad for you that you can't be more useful behind bars."

Calum didn't like the fact that he was eavesdropping, it was wrong and he knew that, but he continued to listen anyway, "if you really cared about me you'd do as I ask and I'm asking you to leave me and mum alone."

Calum's brain wasn't working, who the hell was she on the phone to? Is this why she got no sleep last night, "you think I'm going to start being friendly with you again after you made Arthur, Everly, and Nia uncomfortable and said extremely horrible things on multiple occasions about them and their families," he could hear the distress in her voice and he couldn't do anything about it. He felt bad for her, but what was said next is something that Calum would never forget. She almost whispered it so it was surprising Calum still heard it.

"You held me at knifepoint."
