11th November: LA
Living with Calum and Ashton was interesting, to say the least. There was at least one pointless argument a day which was never serious. Most of the time it was due to the fact that Calum accidentally steals Ashton's clothes after washing them. One day, Calum came out wearing one of Ashton's t-shirts and Ashton pulled the shirt off Calum and then Calum stayed half-naked for the rest of the day because he was too stubborn to go and find another one to wear.

Their house was huge, with five bedrooms, two of them with en-suites and another bathroom upstairs. Of course, they were famous, what did Andrea expect. Her room was extremely large, the bed was soft and comfortable and on either side, there was a bedside table. In one of the corners sat a long dresser with eight drawers, Andrea didn't even need half of them. Across from that was the wardrobe, on one side she stored all of her clothes and on the other, she kept all her books there along with her two basses and her amp.

Outside was covered in green, the garden was twice the size of Andrea's back at home and it was perfect for Duke to get his exercise. Ashton always had to supervise when Duke went outside in case he destroyed his plants. Calum thought this was ridiculous and said that if Ashton was bothered that much he should move in with his partner.

Ashton's partner, Max was a perfect match for the drummer. They were extremely excitable and kind-hearted, Andrea got along with them really well. It was nice to speak to other people who weren't in the music industry. Max was a painter and a very good one too, whilst Calum had been away they looked after Duke and had painted about five different pictures of him. Of course, Calum was obsessed so there were now five different pictures of Duke hung around the house.

Andrea still had to meet Luke's girlfriend Becca, but according to Arthur, she was lovely and very welcoming. Everly and Nia were stopping with Michael as he lived with his dogs meaning there was more room for two more people.

Quite a lot of the time, Andrea spent watching tv with Calum. They had started watching Stranger Things when they had nothing else to do. Sometimes Andrea would try and write, but she'd get one or two lines written and nothing else. She didn't want to ask Calum for help as they all were supposed to be on a break right now and stressing about song lyrics was not a top priority.

Currently, Andrea and Calum were hanging out in the living room watching Stranger Things. Ashton was out with Max at the moment meaning it was just the two of them squished up on the very large sofa.

Andrea really enjoyed Calum's company and sitting on the sofa next to each other watching Netflix was one of her favourite ways to spend time with him. "I'm going to get a drink, do you want anything?" she stood up from the sofa and Calum paused the tv.

"I'm fine thanks," Andrea shrugged and opened the living room door. She watched in amusement when Duke ran in and jumped straight into Calum's lap. "I won't tell Ashton."

Calum groaned and rolled his eyes, "if he doesn't like my dog on the sofa he should move in with Max, he's literally with them at the moment!"

"Maybe they're looking at houses together and Ashton is going to surprise you," Andrea suggested on the way to the kitchen to go and get herself a drink. She heard Calum scoff, "I don't think so, I mean he would tell me, right? Like we share the house surely he would tell me if he was going to move out."

"When you put it like that," Andrea walked back into the living room and sat beside Duke, "I highly doubt Ashton would do that, but he could be thinking about it?" she ran her hand over Duke's fur and looked back up at Calum, "do you want Ashton to move out?"

Calum shook his head, he played with Duke's ears softly, "if he wants to move out that's fine by me but I'm so used to having someone around all the time it would feel weird if Ashton wasn't here," he watched as Andrea nodded understandingly. In this moment, Calum didn't know what he did to deserve her as usual he was unloading his problems on someone else again. Was he discussing Ashton's future housing arrangements actually a problem to some people?

Since neither of them had anything else to say, Calum pressed play on the tv remote. Calum wasn't really paying to the tv now instead he was watching Andrea who was playing with Duke. He loved the extra attention and he was doing his best to show off when in actual fact he was making a complete fool of himself. When he fell off the sofa as a result of jumping around excitedly, Calum burst out laughing at the stupidness of his dog.

Andrea picked him up from the floor and put Duke straight on her lap. At that moment, Calum knew anything was possible because he was jealous of his own goddamn dog. He wasn't jealous that Duke was licking her face because he didn't want to lick her face, but Calum would like her hands in his hair. He also would like to push Duke off her lap and lie down, but he knew Duke wouldn't really appreciate being thrown on the floor.

Towards the end of the episode, Andrea noticed that Calum's attention wasn't on what was going on but on her. She felt her cheeks heat up and to stop Calum from seeing she buried her face into Duke's fur. There was the possibility that Calum had just zoned out and was just looking in Andrea's direction. Obviously, that wasn't the case, but Andrea will find out eventually.

When the episode had finished, Calum turned off the tv and stood up, "let's go," he picked Duke up and then placed him gently on the dog bed in the corner of the room.

"Where are we going," she followed Calum out of the living room, "you better not lock me in your basement," Calum laughed as they passed the kitchen.

"No, I'm going to show you my collection," he came to a stop in front of a door and fiddled with the lock.

"Collection of what?" there was a soft click once Calum unlocked the door to a dark room, "c'mon Calum you've got to be more specific here," Andrea gasped once Calum switched on the light, "holy shit, this is my new home you can lock me in here I don't care."

This was the room of Andrea's dreams, in the far corner there was Ashton's drum kit, the rest of the room was littered with electric and acoustic guitars, but on the other side of the room was a collection of basses that Andrea has seen Calum play at least once on tour.

Back at home, Andrea did have a room like this and most of the time that's where the band's ideas would form before they took it to the studio to record. In her room though there were fewer guitars and a bit smaller, but it did the job.

"What do you think," Calum asked.

"I'm going to live in here," she was completely starstruck by the room. Andrea slowly walked over to the rack of basses and admired them.

"You can play one if you like," Andrea turned to face him although she didn't quite realise how close he actually was and they almost bumped heads.

"What if I break it?" Calum shook his head and picked up one of his basses and passed it to Andrea.

"Let me plug this in and then you can play something for me," Andrea nervously held the bass in her hands. She let her fingers run over the neck whilst Calum went over to the nearest amp and plugged it in, "so what are you going to play for me?"

Andrea considered her options carefully, she could easily play one of her own songs or a 5SOS song, but would that really impress Calum? Maybe some U2 or Duran Duran, but Hungry Like The Wolf was definitely ruled out. Perhaps Levitating by Dua Lipa as that was one of her favourite bass lines.

It felt weird just playing the bass line without any drums or music to keep in time with, but luckily for Andrea, she knew the tempo off by heart. There was a slight ache in her hands but that didn't stop her. She carried on as normal, bopping her head to the beat that she had in her mind.

Calum was sitting on the couch watching intently. His eyes never left her quick-moving hands and honestly, Calum was impressed. He doubted that he could play that without giving the song a quick listen first or playing along to the music. "That was amazing," he complimented when Andrea sat down.

"Thanks, I like this room,"

"More than you like me?"

"No."
