20th November: Guadalajara

Today was Michael's birthday and the last show before the Christmas break. Andrea was excited to see her family during the break as well as going to the magazine interview and photoshoot, but she knew she would miss a certain bassist. Tonight's show was starting earlier as everyone wanted some rest before their flight. The plan was for everyone to head to the UK and after a day the guys would go back to Australia.

As it was Michael's birthday, Ashton decided to wake Michael up with his birthday cake. Andrea watched Ashton put twenty-five candles on the cake and he pulled out a lighter getting ready to light, what Andrea presumed, all of them. As soon as she saw that she stopped him, how was Ashton going to carry a cake with twenty-five lit candles on it in a small moving bus?

"I don't think you should do that," Ashton turned round to look at her questioningly, "we're on a moving bus, if you trip we're all guaranteed dead."

"He's twenty-five!" he protested, "he's got to have all twenty-five candles on his cake!"

"I don't think Michael wants to die on his birthday."

"No," came a groggy voice, "Michael doesn't want to die on his birthday," Michael emerged from his bunk with messy hair, whilst rubbing his eyes.

Andrea and Ashton both wished him a happy birthday and hugged him. Since they'd been so busy, Andrea had barely any time to get him a present, she was also unsure of what to get him as in reality she hadn't known him that long. Fortunately, playing bass was not Andrea's only hobby. In the short time that she has known Michael, it was obvious that he appreciated the small gestures. Everything he received from fans he kept somewhere safe and was thankful for every single piece of artwork or knitted hat he got he loved them so much and Andrea thought it was such a beautiful thing to do.

When Andrea handed Michael his gift, he absolutely loved it. He slipped both of the beaded bracelets onto his wrist and asked Andrea to tie the other two string ones around his wrist. He lifted the keychain with his initials on and a little guitar charm, "I'm going to put this on my backpack in a bit," he announced, hugging Andrea, "thank you!"

"Hey, no problem I'm glad you like them," she hugged him back before he walked off in search of his backpack. Andrea sat down at one of the tables and pulled out her phone looking at Instagram and all the birthday wishes Michael was receiving. Andrea decided to post an Instagram story wishing him happy birthday as she thought it was a nice idea.

"I hope whatever you got Michael for his birthday you get it for mine," Calum sat down on the chair opposite her with his drink, "I think he's going to burst."

"Good morning to you too Calum, I had an amazing sleep thank you for asking," Andrea sent him a pointed look but he just rolled his eyes.

"Have we been given the schedule for today," Andrea shook her head, there wasn't really much they could do at the moment as they still had at least another hour left on the bus before they got to Guadalajara.

"All I know is our flight to the UK is at four am tomorrow morning," Calum just shrugged and carried on drinking.

"Please don't remind me, and then on the twenty-third, we have to go to Australia."

"You're going to Australia I'm stopping in the UK," Andrea reminded and Calum sighed.

"How am I going to survive without my daily dose of Andrea?" Ashton who had just entered with a bowl of fruit shook his head, "you can have your daily dose of Ashton doubled."

"It's only thirty-six days," Andrea pointed out, "and then you're stopping at mine and you can meet Teddy."

Michael who was still sitting in his bunk eating whatever decided to join in on the conversation, "I wanna meet Teddy!"
