Ch. 18 What are your plans for the summer?

" Evelyn!" A feminine voice called out to Evelyn.

" Evelyn, Sweetheart! Please, Wake up! Wake up!" A second feminine voice called out, sounding concerned.

Evelyn opens her bright blue eyes and blinks when she sees her best friends and college roommates, Rosalie Hale and Alice Cullen, looking down at her.

" What happened?" Evelyn softly asked.

Rosalie helped Evelyn to her feet, and the two females sat down on the bed. Meanwhile, Alice went to their kitchen to make a Mint tea for Evelyn to help her calm down.

" You fainted when your Dad called informing you that Bella is leaving the Psych ward today," Rosalie explained.

Evelyn frowned.

It has been two years since nineteen-year-old Evelyn cut ties with Bella after the other female tried to kill her with a pair of scissors. That same day, Bella got admitted to a Psych ward at Forks Memorial Hospital.

Evelyn continued with her life, thinking she would never see Bella again. She studied and worked hard, graduating from Forks High School as a Salutatorian with her dear friend, Angela Weber, being Valedictorian. She got accepted to several Universities, but Evelyn decided to attend Washington State University in Pullman, Washington, where she is currently studying Exterior and Interior Design for her BA.

Besides studying for her BA, Evelyn also works as an Intern for Esme Cullen, helping her renovate damaged homes into beautiful, aesthetically pleasing houses.

" What day is it?" Evelyn softly asked. " Thank you," She grabs the teacup from Alice's grasp.

" It's-" Rosalie turns to look at the calendar. "-Friday. June 15, 2007," She responded and looked back at Evelyn.

" Good to know it wasn't some Friday the 13th bullshit," Evelyn muttered. " Because if it was, knowing Bella leaving the Psych Ward must have been a sign of bad luck," She sighed.

" Emmett has rubbed on you so much," Rosalie amusingly shakes her head.

Evelyn's gaze softened.

Evelyn grew close with the Cullen after Bella got admitted to the Psych Ward. Even though Carlisle was surprised that she knew about them being vampires through Garrett, he still welcomed her to his family with open arms.

The Cullen became like a second family to Evelyn. Esme Cullen is like a mother to her since her biological mother, Renee lives so far away. The two always keep in touch and usually see one another during summer vacation. Carlisle Cullen is like an uncle figure to her since her father, Charlie, will always be her father. He will always give her the proper medicine she needs whenever she gets sick.

Rosalie Hale and Alice Cullen are like the sisters she had always wanted. Who loved her for her and wasn't trying to kill her. Their partners, Emmett Cullen and Jasper Hale, are like the awesome yet annoying yet loveable big brothers who will always have her back.

And Edward Cullen is her soul mate, but not in a romantic sense. He understands her the most when the world around her doesn't understand her. Then again, it annoys Evelyn that he can read her mind, so she will show him naughty images in her thoughts whenever they disagree since she knows he is old school. Other than that, she loves when Edward plays the piano and creates sweet lullabies for her.

" Today is our last day of school!" Alice exclaimed, bringing Evelyn back to reality.

" That's right. Yesterday was our last finals," Evelyn brightly smiled. " You know what that means, right," She stood.

" SUMMER VACATION!" Evelyn grabs Alice's hands, and the two females jump up and down.

Rosalie fondly stared at Evelyn and Alice. A knock on the door grabbed her attention. She walks towards the door and opens it, seeing Emmett, Jasper, and Edward.

" Hey, Ladies. Who is ready to party?" Emmett asked while entering the girls' dorm.

" Emmett!" Evelyn lets go of Alice's hand, runs towards Emmett, and giggles when he picks her up and swings her around.

" Emmett, be careful with her!" Rosalie scolds while looking at the two with amusement and worry.

" I like this feeling," Jasper beamed, feeling excitement even though he felt worried coming from Evelyn not that long ago.

Emmett gently puts Evelyn down and affectionately ruffles her hair.

" You will have a phone call," Alice looks at Evelyn.

Evelyn grabbed her cell phone, and her bright blue eyes blinked when she saw her mother's name on the screen.

" We will give you privacy. We will be at the dining plaza if you need us," Rosalie warmly smiled while pushing her siblings out of their dorm room and closing the door behind her.

Evelyn nodded. She pressed the green button and put her cell phone against her right ear.

" Hey, Mom! I finished my 1st year of UNI," Evelyn brightly smiled.

" That's wonderful, Sweetheart! What are your plans for the summer?" Thirty-nine-year-old Renee Dwyer asked.

Evelyn lightly bites her lips. She wants to spend the summer with her father, but she worries if seeing Bella again will make the other female trigger her psychotic tendency of wanting to kill her.

" Your father told me that Bella is getting out of the Psych Ward today," Renee speaks, causing Evelyn to get tensed. " That is why I am calling to ask if you want to spend the summer with Phil, Hayley, and me?" She asked.

Evelyn's gaze softened when her mother mentioned her younger half-sister, seven-month-old Hayley Dwyer.

" Of course! I would love to spend the summer with you three! I am excited to see Hayley again," Evelyn responded.

" Do I meet up with you guys at Jacksonville, Florida? Or?" Evelyn asked.

" Yes! Come to Jacksonville," Renee responded.

" Okay! When do you want me there?" Evelyn asked. Her bright blue eyes blinked when she saw an envelope slide underneath the door.

" If you can, maybe today or tomorrow?" Renee asked.

Evelyn walks towards the envelope, grabs it, and opens it. Her bright blue eyes widened when she saw an airplane ticket from Pullman, Washington, to Jacksonville, Florida.

" FIRST CLASS!" Evelyn screeched when she saw that the Cullen had paid her a first-class ticket

" Evelyn? Are you okay?" Renee asked, sounding concerned.

" I'm okay. I'm okay. Just know that I will see you soon! Give kisses to Hayley for me," Evelyn said her goodbyes and hung up.

" Alice! I cannot believe you have foreseen this! You know I don't like it when you guys spend money on me-" Evelyn walks towards the door, opens it, and stops walking when she sees a familiar face.

" Garrett? Is this from you?" Evelyn asked.

Garrett grinned when he saw Evelyn blushing. " Yes. And you deserve it. A little birdie told me that you found out that Bella got out of the Psych Ward," He looks at her through his shades.

Evelyn looks at the airplane ticket. " You and Alice must have done this. I know you cannot afford a first-class ticket, no offense," She stares at Garrett.

" Guilty. Guilty," Garrett raised his hand in surrender. " But, all we want is for you to be happy. That Tinkerbell friend said love and riches and loyalty would come your way if you accept this ticket," He points at the airplane ticket.

Evelyn raised an eyebrow. She knows that Alice can see into the future, but sometimes being aware of the future scares her.

" Okay," Evelyn lightly grasped the envelope. " At least I will get to see Mom, Phil, and Hayley," She softly smiled. " Thank you," She hugs Garrett.
