(A/N) - As you can expect, Goodsky is not a spy, nor does she have any connections to Alacrya in this story.

Arthur POV

"Wake the hell up!" a piercing screech pierced my ears.

My face felt wet all of a sudden as Elijah poured a glass of water over my face. As quickly as I opened my eyes, I grabbed his arm and put him in a headlock.

"Get 'em, Sylvie!"

"Ow ow ow Sylvie stop!" Elijah shrieked in pain, pulling my little fox-looking dragon off his face.

"Don't wake me up in such a dumb way next time" I glanced back as I changed my shirt.

"Dude, I've been standing here for 10 minutes trying to wake you up!" He grumbled.

"Do a better job next time then kiddo" I gave him a smug grin.

"I'm still older than you twerp..." He looked down in defeat as he walked back out of the room.

"Papa, be nicer to Elijah." Sylvie said mentally.

"Ehhh, he's a strong kid, he can take it!" I answered as I placed her drowsy form on my head. "Cmon, let's head down for breakfast, we've got a tiring day ahead of us"

Today is finally the day. Me and Elijah are starting our first semester in Xyrus Academy, and the Dicathius is setting sail for the other continent. One for the history books, if you ask me.

I finished getting dressed, and headed downstairs for breakfast, where I was met by the soft green hue of my mother healing Elijah's sorry ass.

"Good morning kiddo! Took ya long enough to get up... as always." My dad greeted, looking for a split second from wolfing down his food.

"Morning dad. Remind me to teach Elijah some more humane methods of waking people up." I greeted back as I sat down at the table.

"I'm gonna suplex both you and Sylvie next time you refuse to wake up!" Elijah retorted as he sat down across from me.

"Whatever you hit me with, I'll hit you five times harder back, and don't you forget it." I winked back at him.

"Well I must say you both look great in your uniforms. Quite the bunch of lady-killers if I do say so myself." My mother said, as she rustled my hair.

"Well, he's gotta look good to be my brother!" Ellie chimed in from next to me, as Sylvie tried to steal some of her meat.

Elijah's uniform was quite sharp, going for a full black design, alongside a white dress shirt and a badge across his heart. My uniform was the basic Xyrus student one, but since it was temporary, I couldn't care less about it.

"Trust me, once I get my official uniform, no woman will resist my charm. Hell, I don't think even Elijah will be able to hold himself back. I gave the boy a very smug grin.

"Alright alright, we get it Mr. Leader of the Disciplinary Committee!" He answered with a disgusted look on his face.

Director Goodsky had called me three days ago to offer me a position. She wanted my unique set of abilities to lead a newly formed team, handpicked by her, to ensure the safety of the students on campus. I didn't really want the burden, but after some negotiations, we settled that I would be exempt from tardies, get a private training room, I could switch my room if I pleased at any point, and I would get to attend the upperclassmen sessions on deviant magics.
