Taking one of the seats from a nearby unused table, I placed it down across from Gideon before sitting myself down, one foot over the other knee, fingers held together in a calculating form.
"In fact, you've already made it." I spoke smugly.
"The hell do you mean 'I've already made it' kid?" His face was plastered with confusion.
"Gideon, I'll give you some advice I gave my students. Re-use what you have." This only seemed to confuse him more.
With a sigh, I began to help him understand my train of thought.
"Gideon, with the mutual partnership being made between the two continents, what do you think will be prioritized?"
"Commerce, of course. Simple yet effective way of economizing." He stated matter-of-factly.
"Exactly. And what do you think is the current biggest hurdle for commercial practices?" He was beginning to catch on.
"The... Transportation?!" He questioned before coming to the same realization I wanted, a proud smile forming on my lips.
"Precisely. So what's stopping us from re-using the Dicathius' engine and applying its concept to terrain vehicle transport."
His eyes grew wide at the idea, before bringing his hand to his rough chin, beginning to think on how to use this information. With a motion of my hand, he threw some blank blueprint papers at me, along with a pencil.
Laying them down, I drew the basic concept for the transport. A multi-sectioned linear vehicle that travels on a pre-set path, with an insane load capacity and speed. It would allow for the transportation of basic goods and even passengers to any corner of the continent.
Finishing up, Gideon went over the plans before beginning to jump around in joy like a child receiving sweets from their mother. Little did he realize every student was now in the classroom waiting for class to begin, and every single one had just witnessed his antics.
Laughter erupted from the students as Gideon froze, realization finally hitting him. He laid down the blueprints before addressing the class.
"Alright, that's enough! Class will now begin!" He shouted with a scolding face. The class began to quiet down as I sat next to the green haired girl.
"Hey Arthur, how's life?" Emily asked with a smile.
"Couldn't be better, If I'm being honest." I radiated a large, teasing smile. "And how is my little friend Elijah~?"
"Eli is good, we were up late last night tinkering-" She suddenly realized what she had spouted, covering her mouth with her hands and blushing bright red with a squeal.
"Eli, is it~?" I giggled. "Emily, you have my full support."
Leaning in closer to him, I quietly whispered into her ear.
"And don't worry, he's already head-over-heels for you~." I pulled away with a wink, the Artificing girl becoming red as a tomato.
The rest of the class went quickly as Emily and I chatted about random topics. Apparently, Elijah had decided to drop one of his more useless classes and has decided to join Artificing.
Go get her, Elijah!
The bell rang as Gideon dropped the artifact he was demonstrating with to the desk.
"Alright, everybody out! Arthur, we have unfinished business!" He demanded.
With a few sighs of relief for lunch finally being upon them, everyone left the artificing classroom. I remained seated in the same place.
