Tessia Eralith POV

It won't stop.

Arthur has been in this loop for almost an hour now. His body would become restless until he began screaming in pain before his Second Phase would activate, easing the condition before returning him to normal and eventually having the pain return once more.

Everyone sat around Arthur with their fingers crossed. Sylvie was clinging onto me whilst sitting on my lap, to my side were my mother and father, and behind us stood Grandpa. At the foot of the bed stood the large hooded individual who I knew was Agrona, and across from us sat Alice and Reynolds with Ellie in their arms.

We've sat in silence this entire time as we hoped for the best, and for Arthur to calm down. But I was starting to lose my patience. Hearing the torturous screaming coming from my fiancé, and knowing I couldn't do a thing to help him was eating me away.

"What's going to happen?" I took my gaze from the bed and looked at Agrona.

"His body is attempting to stabilize itself, trying to balance the Aether levels within him." He spoke calmly whilst monitoring Arthur.

Everyone looked to him with shock and confusion upon mentioning the whimsical element, with Grandpa raising some questions about it.

"Aether? Arthur has never had any control of such a thing." He spoke calmly.

"That's where you're wrong. His beast will utilizes Ambient Aether naturally." Agrona clarified.

"And how do you know this? Who are you, and what have you given to my son?" Reynolds asked nervously, still trying to put on a strong front.

The large hooded man looked towards me as if asking for permission to reveal details. I knew these were Arthur's secrets, but everyone here was trustworthy. I gave him a curt nod before he removed the hood, revealing his long anter-like horns.

Gasps came from everyone present as their eyes widened in shock.

"Apologies for the late introduction, Leywins. My name is Agrona Vritra, High Sovereign of the Vritra clan." He bowed in apology to Art's parents.

Alice held her hands to her mouth as she covered it whilst Reynolds and Ellie shook in their seats.

"H-How do you know our son? And who is the blonde little girl Tessia has been holding?" Alice asked with a shaky voice, forgetting all formalities.

"I believe most of you do not know this, but Arthur's Beast Will is not that of a regular beast, but of a dragon, an Asura. The Dragon that gave Arthur his will was known as Sylvia Indrath, and she was my wife. The little girl you see before you is Sylvie, his bond, and both Sylvia's and my daughter."

Everyone other than me and the old man held their heads in surprise, confusion and sympathy at the revelation.

"Dear god... A dragon..." Reynolds muttered under his breath.

"I'm so sorry for your loss..." Father apologized with a bow.

"I'm guessing his draconic will has some connection to the purple essence?" Grandpa asked, his expression sturdy.

"Indeed. The Indrath clan is renowned for their Aether capabilities. But even they cannot compare to the Ancient Mages." Agrona affirmed. "Either Arthur died, or we took this chance. Now all we can do is wait and hope for the best."

Just as he finished talking, screaming began emanating from Arthur once more as his body began to contort in pain. I felt tears begin to escape my eyes once more. I took his hand into my own, placing his palm onto my cheek as I sobbed, Sylvie patting my back as she leaned into me.
