Today's morning classes ended up being quite uneventful. Since we were still in the first week of school, many lecturers were still teaching the basics of each subject.

Due to my boredom, I ended up playing with Sylvie for most of the time, or snickering with Elijah about random topics during our Magic Theory class.

We agreed to meet-up during lunch, as there was someone I wanted to introduce him to.

I was also confronted by several curious girls about my relationship status with Tessia.

Half of them gave an excited squeal at the thought of gossiping about the Student Council President and the Captain of the Disciplinary Committee being engaged.

The other half seemed disheartened, knowing that Princess Eralith had already taken the heart of the one they wanted to pursue.

Other than that, the only out of the ordinary thing to occur was my chance meeting with a nice fellow by the name of Joshua Haynes during my second class. He's quite the charmer, with lush short blond hair and a somewhat muscular figure. He's also a part of a very influential trading family, apparently being known for their extensive network across the continent.

Unlike most others who saw me in a god-like light, he treated me like an equal and understood my situation. We hit it off quite well and decided to try and meet up someday.

...

Lunchtime finally came around and I hastily made my way to the dining hall. Upon reaching the entrance I was met with a sight that made my blood boil to the brim with anger.

Tessia stood near the entrance, leaning against the wall. And next to her was Lucas Wykes, who appeared to be boasting his feats as he tried to pick-up my future wife.

You've pushed it too far now, Wykes.

"...and with a single fire spell, the Troll King fell to its knees!" Lucas exclaimed as Tessia stood with an uninterested face.

"Last warning Lucas. Leave me alone." She spoke in a demanding voice.

"Nonsense. I haven't fini-" I cut him off as I let some of my pressure seep out.

"LUCAS! What the hell do you think you are doing?!" I shouted.

Lucas turned to face me with an irritated scowl on his face.

"What do you want, peasant? Can't you see I'm busy?"

"Do you have any idea who you're talking to?" I asked.

"Of course. And someone such as myself, from the prestigious Wykes family, has all the right to converse with Miss Eralith." He spoke, his voice full of confidence.

Tessia tried to walk past him and towards me, but was stopped as Lucas placed his hand on her shoulder, gripping her.

"You don't even have the right to look at my shoes you lowly scum. Go back to whatever-"

Turning back around, Tessia slapped Lucas across the left side of his face.

"Firstly, get your filthy hands off me. Second, all forms of harassment are forbidden on school grounds. And lastly, that's my fiancé you're talking about." She spoke angrily.

Tess quickly walked towards me, interlocking our arms as we walked away, into the dining area, leaving Lucas in the dust.

"Thanks for that. I would've done a lot worse." I gave a small smile.

"It's my duty as your future wife, is it not?" She said with a smug smile.

I could feel myself blushing at her words. The simple idea of us getting married in the future made me ecstatic.
