Chapter 96

Alex

We got into the car. I drove home. Bella's phone rang.
She picked it up. "Hello," Alice said. "Hey, girls," Bella said. "So, what is the gender of the baby?" Clare asked. Bella giggled.
"It's..."
"Come on, Bella, what is it?" Ava asked while giggling. Bella giggled. "Boy!" She shouted. "Oh, congratulations," Ava said happily. "Congratulations, sweetheart," Clare said happily.
"Congratulations, Bella," Alice said happily.
"Thank you, girls," she said happily. "Well, girls, let's talk later," she said.
"Alright, bye," Ava said. "Bye," Clare said. "Bye," Bella said.
She hung up.
We arrived. We got out of the car. We got into the house. "Max, we are having a boy," she said happily to him.
He barked. She giggled. "My angel, sit on the couch and rest," I said while looking at her. "We need to make the baby's room ready," she said. "Right," I said. "Let's do it now," she said. I nodded. We walked toward the stairs. We walked upstairs.
"I will quickly go and change," she said. "I need to change too," I said. We got into our room. I changed into a black T-shirt and black shorts.
We went to the room beside ours.
We placed the white crib beside the window and a brown fluffy chair on the other side by the window. We put his toys on the ground to the side. We put a light blue wardrobe on the other wall beside the bed. We hung up the light blue curtains.
We put the dark blue with white stars carpet on the ground.
"I love it," she said while looking around. "Our son is going to like it here," I said. She giggled. "Let's go downstairs, my angel."
She nodded. We walked out. We went downstairs.
We walked to the couch. We sat down. "Come here, baby," I said opening my arms. She jumped into my arms. I placed my hand on her stomach. I stroke it. "Hopefully he will be strong and healthy," I said. "Yes, hopefully."

Some months later
"Hold out, my angel, we're almost there," I said while driving fast toward the hospital. Our baby is ready to be born.
Bella screamed painfully. The pain in her scream is so freaking awful. We finally arrived.
"We're here, we're here, my angel," I said. "Oh!" She screamed painfully. I quickly got out. I opened the door. I picked her up. I ran in. I ran to a doctor. "She needs help, the baby is about to be born," I said to a doctor. "Quickly come here," the doctor said to some nurses.
They quickly came with a bed. I lay her on the bed. They started running. "It will be alright, my angel," I said while running as I held her hand.
They took her into a room. I came in too. They started to do their job. "Oh!" She shouted painfully. "Come on, you are almost there," the doctor said. "You can do it, my angel."
I stroke her hair. She breathed heavily. I saw the baby finally coming out.
Oh, wow. This was the first time I had ever seen a newborn baby.
Bella giggled still breathing heavily. "He's here," I said happily. I looked at her. "You did it, my angel," I said happily. She smiles at me. "Are you alright?" I asked worriedly. "Yes."
I'm glad she is okay, the scream made me think something bad was going to happen to her. My heart stopped for a second every time she shouted.
The doctor picked the baby up. They gave Bella the baby. She giggled happily. She put him on her chest.
"Ma'am, it's time for us to check on the baby and you right after," she said. Bella nodded with a smile.
The doctor grabbed the baby. They put him in a small bed. They checked on him. "As we can see he is in good health," the doctor said. Thank god. I hope Bella is okay too. If they both are I am too.
"Now it's time to check on you," she said. Bella nodded. They started to check on her. "You are all fine too," she said. Bella smiled.
"You will now be in the hospital for at least six hours, maybe twenty-four hours, but we will tell later," she said. "Alright," Bella said with a smile. "Congratulations," she said. "Thank you," Bella said as she smiled.
The doctor wrapped the baby in a small blue blanket.
She picked him up. She walked to Bella.
"Here, you go ma'am," she said. "Thank you," Bella said as she grabbed him.
She put him on her chest again.
They walked out.
She fed him milk from her breast. He was then done eating. "Alex, do you want to hold him?"
I do want to hold him so badly, but I have never held a baby before. I'm worried I will do something wrong.
"I..."
"Alex, are you okay?" She asked.
"Yes."
"Have you held a newborn baby before?"
"I have never held a baby before," I said still focusing on our baby. She giggled. "It's not hard, come here," she said. I walked closer.
She slowly gave me the baby. I laid him in my arms.
"See, not hard," she said.
Wow, I am actually holding our baby. This is the best feeling ever. Oh, he is so cute. His eyes...
They look like his mom. He has the same eyes as his mom.
"Hey," I whispered while looking at him. "So, is his name Ryce?" She asked.
I looked at her.
"Yes," I said. She smiled.
I looked back at Ryce.
"Hey, Ryce," I said. I grabbed his tiny hand. I smirked. "His hands are so tiny," I said. She giggled.
I slowly put him on the bed.
I went and sat beside Bella on the bed. "I'm glad you both are in good health," I said. "Yes, me too, Alex."
"I was scared the whole time when I heard you in pain, I was so scared something was going to happen with you or the baby," I said. She placed her hand on my cheek. She strokes it. "You should rest," I said. She nodded.
She laid back on the bed. She looked at Ryce. "He is so cute," she said. "He is."
"He has your eyes," I said. She giggled.
The door opened. "I got you some food," the nurse said. "Oh, thank you."
She put it on the table beside the bed.
She walked out.
"You should eat and then rest," I said. She nodded as she started eating.
She grabbed the glass of water. She drank some. "Alex, eat with me."
"I'm not hungry."
"You sure?"
I nodded. She kept eating.
She was then done. The nurse came back.
"Here are some papers to sign and then you are allowed to leave."
"Oh, alright."
I grabbed the papers. We signed them.
"Here you go."
"Thank you," the nurse said.
She walked out. I stood up.
"Let's go, my angel."
She nodded as she stood up too.
I walked to Ryce. I lift him. I looked at Bella. She is smiling. "Are you ready to go?"
She giggled. "Yes."
"What?"
"You look so cute holding our baby."
I smirked.
"Let's go."
She nodded. We walked out the door.
We walked to the car.
She got into the car. I opened the back seat door. I put Ryce on an infant safety seat. I closed the door carefully. I got into the car. I started driving.
"Ryce," she said playfully.
"Aww, Alex, you should have seen how he yawned, it was so cute."
I smirked. She looked at the road again. "Alex, I can't believe I'm the mother of your child."
"Bella, I am the one who can't believe I am the father of your child."
She giggled.
We arrived.
We got out. I went to the back seat door. I opened the door. She walked to us. I picked Ryce. We walked in.
Max quickly ran to us. He quickly put his feet on my legs.
"Aww, he is trying to get to Ryce," she said.
"Max, be careful," I said. Max barked as he kept trying to catch Ryce. She giggled.
We walked toward the couch. Max followed us. "Max, Ryce is going to love you," she said as she sat down. I sat beside her. Max put his feet on my knees as he looked at Ryce. I smirked.
I grabbed Ryce's tiny hand.
"Ryce," I said playfully. She giggled. I laid him on the couch.
"My baby boy," she said while looking at him. "He is so cute," she said. "He is."
My phone rang. I picked it up. "Are you a dad now?" Josh asked. I smirked. She giggled. "Yes."
"Where is the baby?" Dylan asked. "Here," I said and showed them, Ryce. "Damn, unfortunately, he looks like you, Alex," Josh said. Bella laughed. "I'm not saying he is ugly, don't worry," Josh said. "Of course, he isn't when he looks like me," I said. "Even though in my eyes he looks more like his mom," I said. "He looks more like both," Elijah said.
"Yes, I agree," Bella said. I looked at her. I smiled as I looked back at the boys.
"Hey, little boy," Dylan said. "What is his name?" Elijah asked. "Ryce," I said. "Nice name," Josh said. "Mhm," I said. "Well, we hope he lives a happy and healthy life with you guys," Josh said.
"Thank you," I said. "Thank you," Bella said.
I hung up.
"Alex, why did you name him Ryce?"
"Because Ryce means powerful and our son is going to be very powerful."
She giggled. "He is powerful," she said. "Exactly."
She got a message. She grabbed her phone.
I looked at Ryce. His skin is so soft. Bella suddenly giggled. I looked at her. She is looking at the phone.
I looked back at Ryce.
Bella put her phone down. Bella laughed. I looked at her. "What?" I asked. "Look at Max."
I looked at Max. He is looking at Ryce with his puppy eyes.
I smirked. "Such a cutie," she said as she looked at me. "Max, come here," I said. Max ran toward us. He sat on my lap. Bella let out a sigh. I looked at her. "Are you okay, my angel?"
She looked at me. "I'm fine."
She smiled. "Are you?"
"Mhm."
"You should rest, you gave birth to our lovely son."
She giggled. She looked at Ryce.
"He is sleeping," she whispered. I looked down at Ryce. "My baby," I whispered. "Let's take him to bed," I whispered. "Yes."
Max got off my lap. We both stood up. I carefully picked up Ryce. We walked up to his room. We went to his bed. I carefully placed him in the bed. She looked at Ryce with a smile. I wrapped my arm around her waist and pushed her into me.
I kissed her on the lips. She kissed me back. We backed back. "I love you, my angel."
"I love you too."
I let go of her. We walked out of the room. I closed the door carefully. "Let's rest," I said. She nodded. We walked to our room. We lay beside each other on the bed.
I opened my arms. She jumped into my arms.
I fell asleep. I woke up by Ryce crying. I looked at Bella. She is also awake.
"Oh, Ryce," Bella said as she got up. I smirked and followed her. We went into his bedroom. She picked him up. "Shh, it's okay," she said while walking back and forth still him in her arms.
She looks so cute with our baby. I love it. I leaned against the door frame.
Ryce kept crying. "Do you want to eat?" Bella asked him playfully. She laid him on her arms. She started to feed him.
I smirked. Bella faced me. She smiled at me. Her mouth spread apart as she looked at my whole position.
She giggled. I smiled. Ryce was done eating. "Let's go downstairs," I said. "Mhm."
She grabbed a light blue stretchy jumpsuit.
She walked toward me with Ryce still in her arms.
We walked downstairs.
We sat down on the couch. "I'm going to change his outfit."
She started changing his outfit.
She was done changing him.
"Alex, I'm so happy."
"Me too..."
"You didn't only make my days better, but my whole life."
"I can't see my future, but I can see that me and you will last forever."
"We will, Alex."
"No matter what," I said.
She smiled. "We should sleep," she said. I nodded. We both stood up.
We walked upstairs. Max followed us. We got into Ryce's room. She laid him on the bed carefully. "Good night, Ryce," I whispered. "Good night, baby," she whispered. We walked out.
Max went to his room. We went to our room.
"Alex, I will quickly take a shower," she said. "Mhm," I said. She got into the bathroom.
I changed into dark blue pants.
I lay on the bed. Bella came out of the bathroom.
She is wearing brown sweatpants and a black singlet.
She walked to me. She lay beside me on the bed. "Oh, I'm excited to sleep," she said tiredly. I understand that. She got very exhausted today. Giving birth must be so difficult and exhausting. She is so strong. She went through that pain and still made it. I'm so proud of her.
I stroke her hair. "Good night," I said. She yawned. "Good night."
She closed her eyes.
I fell asleep.
I woke up to the sound of Ryce crying.
I looked at Bella. She started to wake up too. "My angel, you can rest, I will go and check on him."
She closed her eyes again.
She smiled. I stood up. I went to his room. I turned on a lamp. "Ryce, why are you crying?"
I picked him up carefully. I walked back and forth while he was lying in my arms.
He stopped crying. I smiled as I bent forward kissing his forehead.
I went and sat down.
He started closing his eyes.
I looked around.
I looked back at Ryce. I think he is sleeping. I'm so exhausted. It will be great to sleep again. I stood up. I walked to his bed. I was about to put him down, but he started crying. Oh no. He doesn't want me to let go of him.
Guess I have to be awake longer until he sleeps deeply.
I started walking around the room. I sat on the chair again. I looked at Ryce. He is sleeping. I closed my eyes. I fell asleep.
"Alex," I heard Bella say. I slowly opened my eyes. I saw Bella standing in front of me.
She giggled. "Why are you sleeping here with Ryce between your arms?" She asked while giggling. I looked down at Ryce. He is awake. He is holding around my finger. He put my finger in his mouth. Bella giggled. "He didn't want me to let go of him," I said as I looked up at her.
"You guys look so cute," she said playfully. I smirked. "Do you want me to take him?"
"Yes."
She picked him up. I stood up. I didn't sleep well at all. It was still fun having Ryce between my arms. It was a good feeling. The first time a baby sleeps between my arms. It was a lovely feeling.
Bella walked closer to me. She kissed me on the cheek. She walked out with Ryce in her arms. I smirked.
I went to the bathroom. I got myself ready. I changed into black sweatpants and a black hoodie. I walked down to Bella and Ryce. They are playing. I went and sat beside her. "Ryce, you made me exhausted this night," I said playfully. Bella giggled. "That's how it is to be parents."
"Yes," I said.
"Alex, let's take a picture of us with Ryce and Max," she said.
"It will be a beautiful memory," she said.
It will be so lovely. We all sat together and watched our pictures when we were younger. Ryce will also sit with us and look at himself when he was younger. Max too, hopefully. "Let's do it," I said. She put Ryce beside me.
I put my finger on his hand. He quickly grabbed it. I smirked. His hand is so soft. Bella came back. She placed her phone on the table. "Smile," she said. I picked Ryce up and placed him on my lap while Max stood beside Bella.
The phone took a picture. "Perfect," she said happily. She stood up and grabbed her phone. She came back and sat down. She looked at the picture. "Aww, so cute," she said. "Of course, you didn't smile," she said playfully. "But I love it," she said as she looked up at me. I smirked. She laid her head on my chest. Ryce is still sitting on my lap.
My lovely family. Mom would be so happy to see this.
I kissed Bella's forehead. "I will go and make breakfast," she said as she stood up. "Alright, my angel," I said as I looked up at her. She went to the kitchen. I played with Ryce again. I bent my face closer to his.
"Ryce, me and you will take very good care of Bella, right?" I asked. He placed his hand on my nose. I smirked. Bella came back. She is holding two bowls. She sat beside me. It's yogurt with fruit.
"Here you go," she said and gave me my bowl. "Thank you, my angel."
We started eating. "It tastes lovely," I said. "Thank you, Alex."
"My baby, I love you so much," Bella said to Ryce while looking at him. I looked at her.
She is looking at him.
"I'm waiting," I said. "For what?"
She looked at me.
"For you to say that you love me too," I said while looking at her. She giggled. "I love you, Alex," she said as she kissed me on the lips. I kissed back. We backed back. "I love you, my angel."
We put our bowls on the table.
"Do you want to go for a walk?" She asked while looking at me. "Sure," I said. She stood up. She walked upstairs. She came back. "Here is an outfit for Ryce," she said. "Mhm."
"I can change his clothes."
"Alright."
She gave me the outfit. I changed his outfit. He is wearing an orange jumpsuit. I stood up. I picked him up.
I walked to the door. Bella and Max are standing by the door.
Bella already put the leash around Max. I put Ryce in the carriage. We walked out the door. We started to walk to the park. "Ryce, are you having fun?" She asked while looking down at him. He is playing with his hands while looking around.
"The weather is beautiful."
"It's beautiful because you came out," I said. "Alex..."
"Yes, my angel?"
"I'm happy that you are still flirting like before."
"I will never stop."
"I can't even stop, you get lovely words out of my mouth automatically."
She giggled.
"I love you."
"I love you more," I said.
"This is our first family walk," she said.
"Yes," I said with a smirk.
"It won't be the last," I said. "Of course not."
We arrived home.
We got into the house. She unleashed Max. I walked to the couch with Ryce.
I laid him on my lap. She came and sat beside me. Ryce started to cry. "Don't cry, baby," she said as she picked him up.
She started feeding him. I looked at Max.
