Out of all the places in all of the realms, a sleepy small town by the name of Storybrooke was not the place Lilith Jones pictured her brother living in. The last she had heard about him, he was a pirate captain on a ship named the Jolly Roger and sailed the open seas; a rather large place he declared home. But that was over half a century ago.

It was only a few weeks ago, she had heard her dear brother was hiding out in this town. From what, she couldn't be sure but if she had lived a life that was similar to hers in any way, she was sure whatever she ran from wasn't good.

She hadn't seen or spoken to her brother in almost ninety years, she never had the need to seek him out before now, and yet here she was. Searching for him in a town she never knew existed. It was nothing like a village one would find in the Enchanted Forest. It was full of strange smells, unfamiliar faces and strange metal carriages that created an odd noise in order to move without the need of horses to pull them along.

People who were walking down the side of the street, no matter what side of the road they were on, all looked and stared at Lily. They were all curious and concerned about who this new face was. The dark curse holding them in town had only recently been broken, and a lot of Storybrooke's residents were still weary about anything strange and unusual; which Lily was to them.

Those who met Lily on the same side of the road crossed as quickly as they could, keeping their heads down and looking anywhere but her direction. Lily couldn't help but smirk to herself. She was well aware of the reputation she carried in the Enchanted Forest, but wasn't aware that it had reached realms as far as the one she now found herself in.

As she continued her walk through Storybrooke, countless thoughts ran through Lily's mind as she tried to pinpoint exactly why, after all these years, she had decided to track her brother down. One part of her knew it was because she was lonely and wanted her family back, but the other part of her ignored the first part; she believed that needing somebody made her weak. And weakness was how you wind up hurt.

With the heels of her boots clicking beneath her, Lily walked across the wooden docks, her eyes thoroughly scanning over each and every pier. If her brother truly was in this town, she was sure his ship would be here. There was nowhere else in town for him to dock it. She stopped walking and a small frown etched into her eyebrows, as she noticed there were only a handful of small fishing boats docked. No sign of a pirate ship anywhere.

For the most part, Killian Jones was no idiot. He knew how to be sneaky, he learned to be at a young age. Staying silent and unseen was vital to how the twins had survived on the ship their father had abandoned them on. If they kept their heads down, they would stay out of trouble - something the pair of them rarely lived by these days.
