Sirens could be heard and flashing lights could be seen approaching the chaotic scene at the town line. Gold had magically healed a confused Belle's wounds, but it only caused her to freak out more. She didn't understand anything and was scared of what Gold was. She had managed to pull herself away from him, and now sat a few feet away from him. Anytime he tried to move closer to her, she would move away.

Killian had slowly begun to come around after being hit with the car. He had smiled as soon as he woke up, satisfied that he had managed to carry out his plan.

Lily remained next to the car, still staring at her son in complete shock. She hadn't seen him in twelve years. She didn't know where he had come from, or how he ended up at Storybrooke's town line. He possessed no magical abilities. He had no alliances with anyone who did, other than her. She had left the Enchanted Forest under the belief that he was still there, and would still be there when she was able to get back and search for him.

The sheriff's squad car appeared and Emma got out of it, along with her parents.

While David and Mary Margaret rushed over to Gold and Belle, Emma stayed behind to radio for assistance. "I'm at the town line. Two people down, maybe three. There's a car and it's pretty banged up with Pennsylvania plates."

After putting the radio down, Emma walked over to Killian and leaned down. She reached down and pushed on the pirate's ribs. He yelled out in pain as a response. "Your ribs are broken." She said.

"Oh, that must be why it hurts when I laugh." Killian chuckled, despite the pain. "Did you see his face? His one true love, gone in an instant! Just like Milah, crocodile! When you took her from me!"

"But you took her first!" Gold said through gritted teeth. He lunged at the pirate with his cane prepared to cause damage, but just before he could do anything, he was frozen to the spot.

Everyone looked up at Lily who held her hand up while looking at Gold.

"Let me go." Gold demanded.

"No. If anyone will have the satisfaction of killing my brother, it will be me." Lily glanced at Belle. "She might not remember you, but believe me when I say this, murder is a bad first impression."

As the ambulance appeared, Lily let go of the magical hold she had on Gold. The paramedics started walking toward Killian, but Emma quickly redirected them to the driver in the car.

"Emma, Hook is clearly injured. He clearly needs help." Mary Margaret said.

"He can wait." Emma replied. "There's somebody in that car."

"What?" Mary Margaret stood up and walked over to the car. "Oh, wow."

"Do you know this guy?" Emma asked.

"I've never seen him before." Mary Margaret replied.

"He is my son." Lily said, causing the mother and daughter to turn and look at her. "His name is Evander."

"You have a son?" Emma asked.

"Yes." Lily said, looking at her. "Are you going to help him?"

"The paramedics will check him over, but I'm sure he'll be fine." Emma replied.

"Where did he come from?" Mary Margaret asked.

"I have no idea." Lily answered as she looked back at the car.

As she sat at her brother's beside, Lily couldn't help but look at him disapprovingly. She knew he could be incredibly reckless, but trying to kill the Dark One was a different kind of reckless.

"I think you are incredibly foolish for doing what you did." She spoke quietly.

"You helped me." Killian quietly replied.

The door opened and Emma walked into the room to interrogate the handcuffed pirate. "Where's Cora?" She asked.

Killian tried to move his arm, but it only caused him to wince in pain. "Damn, this hurts." He spoke through gritted teeth.

"I told you - you cracked a few ribs." Emma said, a slight hint of satisfaction in her tone at seeing the pirate in pain. "Where's Cora?"

"I have no idea where Cora is, alright? She has her own agenda." Killian replied. "I'm more interested in my hook. May I have it back? Or is there another attachment you'd prefer?"

"Okay," Lily began as she stood up, "I have been disgusted by you enough for one day. I'm leaving now."

She began to leave the room but before she completely left, she turned and looked at Emma. "Oh, and Sherriff? Feel free to press on those broken ribs. Over my years, I have found pain is a good way to get information from someone."

"You are the worst." Killian said.

"Yes, I am." Lily smiled at her brother before she left the room. She slowly walked down the white hallway that was filled with chairs and hospital clutter. All of which seemed unnatural to her. This was her first time in such a building, so she didn't understand much of anything. But she wouldn't let others know that. She couldn't.

She stood outside of room fifty-three.

That was the room Evander had been placed in. She was told that he had woken up while she was still sitting with her brother, and she had spent almost every minute since trying to work out what to say to him. What do you say to the son you haven't seen in twelve years?

Nevertheless, Lily took a deep breath and walked into room fifty-three, where she found her son awake and sitting up in his hospital bed. She was at a loss for words when she saw him. She couldn't believe he was there, sitting right in front of her.

"Why are you here?" She asked.

"I came looking for you." Evander replied, looking at his mother for the first time in over a decade. No matter how much he wanted to blame her for the family being broken up, Evander didn't have it in him. Deep down, he knew he and his sisters all had their parts to play in it.

"Why?" Lily asked.

"After twelve years of not seeing each other, not having any contact, I thought the first thing one of us said would've been hello." Evander said.

"Evander..."

Evander jumped in. "You said our family would one day be reunited. That's what you told us the last time we all saw each other. I know you've done a lot of bad things, Mother dearest, but breaking promises to your children was something you never did."

All Lily could do was look at her son. She didn't know what to say to him or what she was supposed to do about him being back in her life. Of course, she was happy he was and she was so glad to know he was okay, but the look on her face said she was worried. She could tell Evander had an ulterior motive for finding her and coming to Storybrooke. She just didn't know what it was.
