The town of Storybrooke was tearing itself apart as the curse of shattered sight took a hold of everyone. Friends and family turned against each other, no matter how strong their bond was before. The Jones family had spread themselves all over town, most of them keeping separated from the rest out of fear they would hurt one another.

Alice sat alone in the woods, using a rock to sharpen her already razor sharp dagger. She had such a heavy feeling of anger and hatred weighing on her shoulders. She hated the feeling as she knew it was something that uncontrollable. She hated herself for feeling that way, but not as much as she hated everyone else.

A twig snapped and she jumped up onto her feet, holding her dagger in a way that was ready to swing at anyone that dared to come near her. She heard leaves move and felt the wind blowing behind her, but she kept her focus on the direction the twig snap came from. Sure enough, her focus paid off when her mother stepped out of the shadows.

"I wouldn't come any closer if I were you." Alice said.

"What makes you think I will?" Ophelia questioned.

Alice said nothing and pointed the dagger directly at her mother; who took a step toward her. "Do not come near me." Alice warned.

"You're acting like a pathetic child, Alice." Ophelia said. "You would never survive without me. Remember how you were when I found you all those years ago? Laying there, slowly bleeding to death? Sometimes I think I should've left you there."

Anger quickly built up in Alice's face and she threw her dagger towards her mother, but seconds before the dagger could hit her, Ophelia disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

Killian hadn't seen his sister, his mother or anyone from his family for that matter. Not that he'd want to anyway, not while they were all cursed. He was surprised to find that he had been spared from the curse, but he knew there was no way his family had been so lucky. The moment one of them saw him, they'd try and kill him. And death by family member is not the way he wanted to go.

He pushed the door to the pawn shop open and stepped inside; where he found Gold standing behind the counter. "Where's the missus? She turned homicidal on you yet?" He asked.

"None of your business." Gold replied. "What kept you?"

"Well, it's like swimming with sharks out there. The minute one of them tastes blood, they'll tear each other apart." Killian answered.
