New Era

Steve Rogers who was in the ice for nearly 70 years woke up in the 21st Century to find all he thought home was gone and lost.

"I had a date", he said as he was standing in the middle of New York and Fury looked at him sympathetically.

"I am sorry Captain, but that world is gone, if you could cooperate with us, it will be great", he said and Steve nodded grimly as they took him to their base.

They gave him a room, "Tony Stark will come to meet you in some time Captain", Fury said, "Stark? As in Howard's son?", Steve asked and Fury nodded before leaving.

Steve waited for some time and heard a knock, "Come in", he said and closed the picture of Peggy he was looking at.

He looked at the doorway only to freeze, he met with the most beautiful brown eyes looking softly into his blue ones.

Tony Stark, the genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist immediately came as soon as Fury said they had found Captain America alive.

He has always idolized him and now getting a chance to meet him and maybe make him join Fury's boy band or the 'Avengers', more the first according to Tony, made him come quickly.

But as soon as he saw the Captain he felt the air knock out of his lungs, never has he seen such a soft and beautiful blue eyes.

It was as if time froze for them, eyes expressed emotions words couldn't and eventually Steve broke the eye contact.

I guess this playboy status won't stay for long. Tony what the hell are you thinking? You just met him, he thought and cleared his throat.

"I am Tony Stark", he introduced extending his hand and Steve shook it, "It's nice to meet to meet you Mr.Stark", Steve said.

"Oh please call me Tony, my father is Mr.Stark and I have heard enough of it", Tony said and Steve looked confused.

"What do you mean?", he asked and Tony shook his head, "Nothing you should worry about now Captain", he said.

"Please, call me Steve", Steve said and Tony smiled, a real genuine smile, "Sure thing Steve, but I am not good with names", Tony said and sat on Steve's bed looking around.

"Not bad, this place, but you can stay with me in the tower", Tony said and Steve again looked confused.

Tony smiled at this, this was new to him, someone with no knowledge of this era and he found it cute.

"Don't worry Steve, I just want to help you and teach you of this era and since I have a lot of money, I have a tower which is practically empty except for my staffs in the working hours, so you can stay with me", Tony said in one breath and Steve smiled.

"Thank you Mr- Tony but I don't want to bother you", he said and Tony shook his head, "It's no bother, it is easy for me too, I don't have to always come here to see Captain Motherfucker over there", he said gesturing Fury who was next door(glass?).

"Language", Steve said instinctively and bit his lips, "Sorry I-", he stopped as he saw Tony's amused smiled.

"What?", he asked and Tony jumped to his feet, "This is going to be interesting", he said and dragged Steve with him.

"My things", Steve said, "There is nothing in there Cap, we can buy some later and if you have some special things there, I can send my suit to get it", he said.

"Suit?", Steve asked again looking confused and Tony chuckled and tapped his phone and his car came.

"There is a lot to learn since your time Capsicle, come on we need to catch up", Tony said and the two got into the car and Tony drove them to his tower.

Steve was amazed when he saw the Stark Tower, "Wow", he muttered and Tony smiled and walked him through the private elevator.

They walked out to the penthouse to see a person already waiting, "Ms.Potts, I thought the business was out of the penthouse", Tony said.

The women got up and walked towards Tony, "I am sorry Mr.Stark, but this was urgent", she said and handed him a file.

He then only noticed Pepper looking at Steve, "Oh sorry, Steve this is my assistant Pepper Potts and Ms.Potts this is Steve Rogers a.k.a Captain America", Tony said and continued reading his file.

The other two shook hands and Pepper left after getting Tony's signature, but Tony saw Steve staring at him.

"What?", he asked and Steve shook his head, "I just noticed that you looked guarded with Ms.Potts and not me, is it only for her or only for me?", he asked.

Steve who was walking a few steps behind Tony, when they entered, noticed the genius's shoulder tense and his face became guarded and a fake smiled one when meeting the women.

Then also he noticed him become relaxed after Pepper left and this made him question the billionaire.

Tony himself was shocked at this question as he never felt the difference, but come to think of it now he could feel it.

He had smiled and enjoyed and had been relaxed when with Steve and this surprised him as this was a totally new feeling for him.

"I- I think it's- it is only for you", he stuttered out and Steve smiled at this surprisingly, "Why?", Steve asked.

"I don't know", Tony said and looked at the floor, "Come on I'll show you the place and introduce some people to you including Jarvis here", Tony said walking with Steve.

"Jarvis?", Steve asked, "Hello Captain Rogers", rang the voice of the A.I and Steve looked up making Tony laugh.

"What?", Steve asked smiling at Tony's laugh, "It's just you looked up at the ceiling, Jarvis is an artificial intelligence, you don't need to look up when you talk to him", he said.

Steve blushed and said an hello to Jarvis and continued walking with Tony, "By the way J, give Captain access to everything except my lab", Tony said and heard a consent.

"Don't Tony, you don't know me and how can you trust a stranger?", Steve asked and Tony smiled and stopped walking.

"Just, I don't know why and for the reason you asked this and I also know a lot about you Cap", Tony said coyly winking at the blonde.

Steve blushed, "Smooth Stark", he said and Tony chuckled before showing Steve the other places including his room which was way better than the one Fury gave him.
