Steve told her to open the gates and Scott came in and started explaining...

Now

"Scott. Are you okay?", Steve asked a pacing Scott, "Yeah. I'm fine", he said and stopped pacing looking at the other two.

"Have you ever studied Quantum Physics?", he asked, "Only to make conversation", Nat said, "Alright. So... five years ago, right before Thanos, I was in a place called the Quantum Realm. The Quantum Realm is like its own microscopic universe. To get in there, you have to be incredibly small. Hope, she's my... She was my... [struggling to not tell the entire truth about their relationship] She was supposed to pull me out. And then Thanos happened, and I got stuck in there", he said.

"I'm sorry. That must've been a very long five years", Nat said sympathetically, "Yeah, but that's just it. It wasn't. For me, it was five hours", he said and Nat and Steve looked at each other.

"See, the rules of the Quantum Realm aren't like they are up here. Everything is unpredictable", Scott said and started eating the sandwich.

"Scott, what are you talking about?", Steve asked, "What I'm saying is, time works differently in the Quantum Realm. The only problem is right now, we don't have a way to navigate it. But what if we did? I can't stop thinking about it. What if, we could somehow control the chaos, and we could navigate it? What if there was a way to enter the Quantum Realm at a certain point in time but then exit at another point in time? Like... Like before Thanos", he said and Steve looked shocked.

"Wait, are you talking about a time machine?", he asked, "No. No, of course not. No, not a time machine. It's more like a... Yeah, a time machine. I know it's crazy. But I can't stop thinking about it. There's gotta be some way... There's gotta be...some w... it's crazy", he said stuttering.

"Scott, I get e-mails from a raccoon, so nothing sounds crazy anymore", Nat said and Scott sighed.

"So who do we talk to about this?", Scott asked and Steve sighed, "Tony", he said and Nat nodded.

"Friday tell Harley we are leaving, I'll leave the bike here", Steve said and the three immediately left.

Tony was playing with Sarah, when she wore a blue helmet, "Okay, You should not be wearing that, okay? That is part of a special anniversary gift I'm making for papa", Tony said

"How did you find this?", he asked lifting her, "Garage", Sarah said and Tony smiled, "Really? Were you looking for it?", Tony asked.

"No. I found it, though", she said as Tony walked back in with her, "You like going to the garage, huh? So does daddy. It's fine, actually. Your papa never wears anything I buy him. Well, he does, don't tell him that, but maybe I should give this to Harley", Tony said.

He stopped seeing the car and saw his husband and sister like figure get out along with Scott Lang.

"Auntie Nat", Sarah said jumping into her aunt's hand who smiled and took the kid away with a nod to Steve.

"Tony, Scott has something to say", Steve said and Tony nodded, "I figured, come in Scott", Tony said and the went and sat down on the chairs outside.

"Now, we know what it sounds like...", Scott said after explaining, "Tony, after everything you've seen, is anything really impossible?", Steve asked and Tony nodded as Nat came with Sarah.

"Quantum fluctuation messes with the Planck Scale, which then triggers the Deutsch Proposition. Can we agree on that?", Tony asked as he gave them drinks, Steve took Sarah into his hands who kept her head on her papa's shoulder.

"In Layman's terms, it means you're not coming home", Tony said, "I did", Scott said and Tony shook his head.

"No, you accidentally survived. It's a billion to one cosmic fluke. And now you wanna pull off a... What do you call it?", Tony asked.

"A time heist?", Scott said as Steve slightly rocked Sarah, "Yeah, a time heist. Of course, why didn't we think of this before? Oh, because it's laughable? Because it's a pipedream?", Tony said.

"The Stones are in the past. We can go back and get them", Scott said, "We can snap our own fingers. We can bring everyone back", Nat said and Steve for a minute saw something flicker in Tony's eyes, hope.

"Or screw it up worse than he already has, right?", Tony said the hope vanishing, "I don't believe we would", Steve said and Tony looked at him.

"High hopes won't help if there's no logical, tangible way for me to safely execute said time heist. I believe the most likely outcome would be our collective demise", Tony said looking away.

"Not if we strictly follow the rules of time travel. That means no talking to our past selves, no betting on sporting events -", Scott was interrupted.

"I'm gonna stop you right there, Scott. Are you seriously telling me that your plan to save the universe is based on Back To The Future?", Tony asked.

"No", Scott said quickly, "Good. You had me worried there. 'Cause that'd be horse shit. That's not how quantum physics works", Tony said.

Steve understood that Tony was getting agitated, "Tony... We have to take a stand", Nat said, "We did stand. And yet, here we are", Tony said getting up.

"I know you got a lot on the line. You got a husband, a son, a daughter. But I lost someone very important to me. A lot of people did", Scott said.

"Do you think I didn't lose someone? We didn't lose someone?", Tony asked indicating him and Steve, "We lost our son and I would jump for an opportunity to get him back, but if I lose what I have", Tony stopped immediately his voice shaking.

"Now, now we have a chance to bring her back. To bring your son back. To bring everyone back. And you're telling me that won't even...", Scott said.

"That's right, Scott, I won't even. I got kids. I got a family", he said and walked out, but Steve stopped him.

"But this is a second chance", he said and Tony looked down before looking into Steve's eyes, "I got my second chance right here, Steve", he said indicating Sarah.

"I can't roll the dice again. If you don't talk shop, you can stay for lunch", he said to the other two and left inside with Sarah.

"He's scared", Nat said as the three walked out, "He's not wrong", Steve said, "Yeah, but I mean, what are we gonna do? We need him. What, are we gonna stop?", Scott asked.

"No, I wanna do it right. We're gonna need a really big brain", Steve said determined, "Bigger than his?", Scott asked incredulously and Steve looked at Nat.

"You know where to find him", Steve said and Nat nodded, "You are not coming?", Scott asked Steve who shook his head.

"I'll come to the compound tomorrow, I am pretty sure Tony will now have a break down", Steve said and with a nod left inside.

"Wha-", Scott asked confused, "Tony would feel like he failed Peter twice now, so Steve needs to be here now, besides I can handle the big guy", Nat said and the two left to meet another lost family member.
