Tony knew the meaning behind those words, "He meant that to find the reason without getting caught and being too obvious", Tony said and Bruce smiled and nodded.

"What he's got is an ACME dynamite kit. It's gonna blow up in his face, and I'm gonna be there when it does", Tony said as they talked about Loki.

"I'll read all about it", Bruce said as they worked on finding the files, "Mhm, or, you'll be suiting up with the rest of us", Tony said and Bruce smiled.

"Now, you see I don't get a suit of armor. I'm exposed, like a nerve, it's a nightmare", Bruce said and Tony walked to the screen opposite to Bruce.

"You know, I've got a cluster shrapnel, trying every second to crawl its way into my heart. This stops it", he said tapping his arc reactor.

"-this little circle of light. It's part of me now, not just armor. It's a terrible privilege", Tony said opening up to Bruce.

"But you can control it", Bruce said, "Because I learned how", Tony said and Bruce shook his head.

"It's different", Bruce said and Tony swiped the screen Bruce was working on who stopped and looked at Tony.

"Hey, I read all about your accident. That much Gamma exposure should've killed you", Tony said and Bruce smiled a tight smile.

"So you're saying that the Hulk- the Other Guy- saved my life? That's nice. That's nice sentiment. Saved it for- what?", he asked.

"I guess we'll find out", Tony said, "You may not enjoy that", Bruce said and Tony got back to his work.

"And you just might", he said and they continued working and Steve here was searching SHIELD's storage to find weapons.

Thor got to know about Jane's safety and he talked with Fury about Loki, "Loki is a prisoner", he said.

"Then why do I feel like he's the only person on this boat that wants to be here?", Fury asked and Nat went to get answers from Loki.

As she was talking Fury got an alert saying there was a Virus and Fury went to confront Tony meanwhile Nat got to know Loki is trying to unleash the Hulk.

She thanked him and immediately left, "What are you doing, Mr. Stark?", Fury asked entering the lab.

"Uh- kind of been wondering the same thing about you", Tony said, "You're supposed to be locating the Tesseract", Fury said.

"We are, the model's locked and we're sweeping for the signature now. When we get a hit, we'll have the location within half a mile", Bruce said and Tony got down from the table.

"And you'll get your cube back, no muss, no fuss. What is Phase Two?", he asked and Steve entered with a weapon.

"Phase Two is SHIELD used the Cube to make weapons", he said and looked at Tony, "Sorry, computer was moving a little slow for me", he said and Tony smiled at him.

Tony also showed more proof and Fury sighed and told they were doing this because of Thor and the others from the outer space.

They all started arguing when Fury directed the subject towards Tony, "Remind me again how you made your fortune, Stark?", he asked.

"Woah! The subject is turning into a totally different direction Director", Steve said jumping in as he knew Tony and his insecurities.

He knew why Tony made weapons and what resulted to end it and how much insecurities he has on it.

Tony smiled thankfully at him, "You are saying this because you are in love with him", Fury said and Steve glared at him.

They hadn't told that they love each other yet, "My relationship with Tony doesn't involve anything with me defending him", Steve said and they all started arguing again.

That's when the computer beeped and Bruce went to see and as he saw the message he was shocked and the floor blasted before he could tell them anything.

All fell and they immediately get up running in different directions, Steve and Tony together and they go to start the blasted wings running again.

Tony explains to Steve on what to do, "Even if I clear the rotors, this thing won't re-engage without a jump... I'm gonna have to get in there and push", Tony explained.

"Well, if that thing gets up to speed, you'll get shredded!", Steve shouted through the wind, "Then stay in the control unit and reverse polarity long enough to disengage maglev and that should", Tony explained and was cut off.

"Speak English!", Steve said and Tony smiled, "See that red lever?", he asks and Steve looked at his side.

"It'll slow the rotors down long enough for me to get out. Stand by it, wait for my word", Tony said and they got to work.

Thor and Bruce were fighting and Nat and Clint were fighting and few people attacked Steve and due to that Tony was nearly shredded.

But somehow Steve pulled the lever and Tony came and blasted the agents who were attacking Steve.

They lost Thor and Bruce, Clint was knocked down and was regaining his own mind and Nat helped him with it.

But Coulson died as he tried to stop Loki who escaped and Tony and Steve were the only one talking/listening to Fury at the table.

"There was an idea, Stark knows this, called the Avengers Initiative. The idea was to bring together a group of remarkable people, see if they could become something more. See if they could work together when we needed them to, to fight the battles that we never could. Phil Coulson died still believing in that idea, in heroes", Fury explained.

Tony abruptly got up and left and Steve knows how the word heroes triggers Tony especially the one which involves with death.

He got up and left to find him to talk with him, "Was he married?", Steve asked as he entered, "No. There was a uh- cellist, I think", Tony said.

"I'm sorry. He seemed like a goodman", Steve said, "He was an idiot", Tony said and Steve walked towards him.

"Why? For believing?", Steve asked, "For taking on Loki alone", Tony said and Steve held his hand, "Tony", he said softly.

"He was doing his job", he said, "He was out of his league. He should have waited. He should have", Tony said and Steve hugged him.

"Sometimes there isn't a way out, Tony", Steve whispered, "Right. How did that work for him?", Tony asked.

"It's ok we will come out of this, together", Steve said and Tony with tears in his eyes looked at where Coulson died.

"He made it personal", Tony said, "Tones", Steve said, "No Steve that is the point. That's Loki's point. He hit us all right where we live. Why?", he asked pulling away.

"To tear us apart", Steve said, "Yeah, divide and conquer is great but- he knows he has to take us out to win, right? That's what he wants. He wants to beat us, he wants to be seen doing it. He wants an audience", Tony said.

"Right. I caught his act in Stuttgart", Steve said, "Yeah. That's just previews, this is- this is opening night. And Loki, he's a full-tail diva. He wants flowers, he wants parades, he wants a monument built to the skies with his name plastered", Tony stopped.

Steve waited looking expectantly at him, "....Son of-a-bitch", Tony said and rushed out with Steve, "He wants the Stark tower", he said.
