Tying the Knot

"Children", Bruce said shaking his head and all talked and enjoyed their breakfast planning their first bigger celebration. 

Now

Today was the day and the wedding was at the Tower, as both Tony and Steve wanted it quiet and with their family only.

So, the avengers were there, Sam and Rhodey, Fury, Maria and Coulson, who was apparently resurrected from dead and Pepper was there.

Steve wanted Bucky there badly, but Bucky was finally healing and more than anything Steve wanted Bucky healed.

Tony was getting ready in his room, rehearsing his speech constantly when Rhodey walked in with Natasha.

"Hey bud", he said, "Someone's looking handsome", Nat said and Tony smiled and hugged the two of them softly as his baby bump was huge.

"Thank you Nat and you look beautiful too", Tony said, "Come on buddy we have to go", Rhodey said and Tony smiled and walked out with them.

Steve opened his door and came out and was surprised to see his best friend standing there, "Buck?", he asked his eyes tearing up.

"Hey Steve", Bucky said and was immediately engulfed in a hug, "Hey I am here too", Sam said who was behind Bucky.

Steve chuckled and broke off the hug, "How? I mean...", Steve stopped unable to say anything else.

"Your husband to be asked me to come and since the therapy and all the other mind healings had helped, I remembered you and came", Bucky said.

Steve smiled and reminded himself to thank Tony for this alone, "I can see that you love him so much", Bucky said seeing Steve's smile.

"I do", he said, "Ok, those are the word for Tony when Fury officiates the wedding, now come on", Sam said and the three left.

Steve walked down to the altar and saw Tony there waiting, Tony saw Steve and forgot the speech he had planned.

Steve walked and stood in front of him and all the others sat down, the two looked into each others eyes and lost themselves in that moment.

Tony had always loved Steve's 'love me tender eyes' and today it shined brighter than ever and Tony felt free looking into those blue eyes, instead of feeling drowned.

Steve looked into Tony eyes and felt similarly, he didn't feel anything else except calmness and peace.

Fury started and the two didn't hear anything else except when he asked them to tell their vows and Steve nudged Tony softly who started.

"I... I forgot my prepared speech after looking at you, so I am sorry if I say something embarrassing as I go on", he said and all laughed, "Steve I love you more than anything and anyone, even more than you love me and don't start a fight you can't win, Rogers", Tony said and Steve smiled, "I've thought that I would never love anyone after seeing my parents, but you Steve, you made it possible for me. You not only loved me but made me love you so much, that I know that I would do anything to keep you with me forever. I never believed in fairy-tales, but after meeting you, I definitely do. I know our love was love at first sight and I see your eyes in my head all the time and... every time I close my eyes, I see stars and galaxies reflected in them as they look back at me", he said and Steve smiled surprised at him. "I want to say I will die for you, but I won't... all my life I have wanted nothing but to die instead of carrying all these things, but for you I want to live, live with you. You are the best thing I never knew I needed Steve Rogers and you are and will always be my only love, I love you so so much Steve Rogers", Tony said and all wiped their tears except Steve.

Tony wiped those and Steve smiled, "Wow, I thought I would give the best speech and I think you beat me on that", Steve said and Tony chuckled and shook his head, "I want to start by saying I love you, you gave me home when no one else did and I never thought I would say this, but I don't think I would love anyone as much as I love you, not even Peggy or any other person. They say Home is where the heart is and my heart is with you, forever. I don't know if there are any other lifetimes, universes, worlds, but I know only one thing, that is, I love you in all of them. I can't even imagine a world with you gone and Home would be a very lonely place without you, even if it is in 40s. I know you think I would leave you like the people who had left you in your past, but I promise you today on our wedding day that I am staying no matter what", he said and Tony smiled and a tear dropped from his eye, "You make me so happy Tony and I want to do the same to you and have a beautiful family with you, starting with these two I guess", he said and all chuckled, "We are in this together and I promise you it will stay that way no matter what... I also just want to say, I love you a lot Tony Stark", Steve said and wiped Tony's tears.

"Wow that...", Fury said emotional for a second and composed himself, "Motherfuckers", he muttered to himself.

"Rings", Fury said and the two exchanged rings, they chose the rings they were proposed with because they were special and they didn't want to change it.

"Do you Steven Grant Rogers take Anthony Edward Stark to be lawfully wedded husband?", Fury asked.

Steve smiled looking into Tony's eyes, "I do", he said, "Do you Anthony Edward Stark take Steven Grant Rogers your lawfully wedded husband?", Fury asked Tony.

"I do", Tony said smiling brightly, "You may kiss each other", Fury said and the two did and the whole hall erupted into cheers.

The two broke from the kiss and smiled at each other as their foreheads touched, "I love you Steve Stark-Rogers", Tony said and Steve smiled.

"I love you too Tony Stark-Rogers", Steve said, "Ooh", Tony said holding his stomach and glaring at Steve.

"Sorry honey, I love you too boys", Steve said and kissed Tony's cheek and the two walked down the aisle holding each other's hands as all clapped.

This was the beginning for a lot more adventures to come and all present there knew it especially the avengers, but for the new couple, it was a new chapter and it was going to be the best as they were together in this...
