"Thank you honey, I love you so so much", Tony said and kissed Steve's cheek, who smiled, "I love you too Tones", Steve said and the two kissed.

Now

"Sir Secretary Ross is here demanding to meet the avengers immediately", Jarvis said as Tony was working on his latest tech suit.

"When did he become secretary of avengers? Coming in and demanding", Tony muttered and got up, "Tell the others to gather in the meeting room J", Tony said.

"Yes sir", Jarvis said and Tony met his family at the meeting room along with Ross, he sat next to his husband and Ross started.

"Five years ago, I had a heart attack. I dropped right in the middle of my back-swing. Turned out it was the best round of my life, because after 13 hours of surgery and a triple bypass . . . I found something 40 years in the Army had never taught me: Perspective. The world owes the Avengers an un-payable debt. You have fought for us, protected us, risked your lives . . . but while a great many people see you as heroes, there are some . . . who would prefer the word "vigilantes"", he said. 

"And what word would you use, Mr. Secretary?", Nat asked, "How about "dangerous"? What would you call a group of US-based, enhanced individuals who routinely ignore sovereign borders and inflict their will wherever they choose and who, frankly, seem unconcerned about what they leave behind?", Ross said and started showing New York, Washington DC, Lagos and Sokovia.

"Ok stop that, that's enough", Steve said and looked at Tony who was looking down, Steve knew Tony was on verge of a panic attack and took Tony's hand in his.

"For the past four years, you've operated with unlimited power and no supervision. That's an arrangement the governments of the world can no longer tolerate. But I think we have a solution", Ross said handing them a thick document.

"The Sokovia Accords. Approved by 117 countries . . . it states that the Avengers shall no longer be a private organization. Instead, they'll operate under the supervision of a United Nations panel, only when and if that panel deems it necessary", he said.

"The Avengers were formed to make the world a safer place. I feel we've done that", Steve said that hoping that Tony doesn't make this decision.

"Tell me, Captain, do you know where Thor and Banner are right now?", Ross asked, "Actually we do", Clint said surprising Ross for a second.

"Talk it over", Ross said and left and the others left to the living room and started arguing, "Tony. You are being uncharacteristically non-hyper-verbal", Nat said seeing the silent Tony.

"It's because he's already made up his mind", Steve said closing his eyes and taking a deep breath.

"Boy, you know me so well", Tony said and immediately regretted it, he has never been like this with his husband.

"There's no decision-making process here. We need to be put in check! Whatever form that takes, I'm game. If we can't accept limitations, if we're boundary-less, we're no better than the bad guys", Tony said.

"Tony, someone dies on your watch, you don't give up", Steve said, "Who said we're giving up?", Tony asked.

"We are if we're not taking responsibility for our actions. This document just shifts the blames", Steve said.

"I'm sorry. Steve. That - that is dangerously arrogant. This is the United Nations we're talking about. It's not the World Security Council, it's not SHIELD, it's not HYDRA", Rhodey said.

"No, but it's run by people with agendas, and agendas change", Steve said and Tony went to argue back but Clint stopped him, Clint who wasn't talking all this time.

"Wait a minute", he said and all looked at him, "Do you see what's happening?", he asked and all looked at each other.

"He is breaking us, the government is breaking the avengers apart", Clint said and the air turned thick, it was true, they all realized.

"Guys we are the avengers, we have to think through and do it together, think about the people who need us", Clint said.

"Steve, Tony you guys love each other and never have fought each other like this, but look now", Clint said and the husbands looked at each other.

"Dada, papa", they heard their five year old, who came running towards them and their emotions crashed.

Steve tossed the accords aside and scooped Peter in his arms and Tony did the same with Harley, Nat and Clint smiled.

The others were still skeptical, the husbands looked at each other and moved towards each other and kissed.

"I am sorry", Steve said, "No I am sorry, I shouldn't have talked like that", Tony said with their foreheads touching.

Steve held Tony's waist with his free hand and looked at the others, "We will sign the accord, but only if there are changes made in them", Steve said and Tony nodded.

"Yes, changes like we can fight when we are needed, but we will take responsibility for that, we should not be bounded or ordered to do as they say, we will answer only if it is absolute necessary", Tony said and Steve smiled.

Bucky, Sam, Nat and Clint immediately nodded, "Any arguments?", Steve asked looking at Vision, Rhodey and Wanda.

They shook their heads, "Ok I'll talk with Ross and only if he agrees will we sign the accords", Tony said and gave Harley to Clint.

"Thank you", Tony said to Clint who looked surprised, "Thank you for keeping this family together and stopping it from breaking apart into pieces", Tony said and Clint smiled.

"It's my family, since day one it has been my family, I will never let it break apart", Clint said and Tony smiled.

"By the way I never thought you had brains enough to think", he said and Clint rolled his eyes, "I have common knowledge unlike you", Clint said.

"Here they go", Steve said and Peter looked at him and hit his head cutely shaking his head like Steve, Steve doing the same.

"Hey!", Tony said as all laughed and Nat looked at them, Clint did the right thing, she thought and Tony left to call Ross.

He came after sometime, "He agreed, but said he still needed time to talk with the other countries", Tony said.

"That's fair", Nat said, "Bruce would have killed me if we had not agreed", Tony said and the other og avengers smiled.

Steve looked at Nat and Clint, "Training?", the three said together and smiled, "You guys want to join us?", Steve asked the others.

"I'll join you", Bucky said, "Me too", Sam said, "I need to go, but someday later", Rhodey said, Wanda and Vision also said they needed to leave for a date and left.

"What about you hun?", Steve asked Tony, "Oh I am still working on a latest nano tech suit, so you guys have fun, please don't kill each other", Tony said and the others smiled and walked to the lift.

Steve kissed his husband and gave Peter to him and left to the training room with others, "I won't let go of your papa ever", Tony promised and Peter and Harley looked at him and smiled.

Tony chuckled, "You two have your papa's smile, come on you two, to the lab, let's play", he said and walked the twins to the lab.
