Finally they separated the stones according to the timeline and was able to figure they had to go in three teams.

Now

"All right. We have a plan. Six Stones, three teams. One shot", Steve said as they all gathered finally with the plan.

Tony held Steve's hands and nodded, they quickly went to change into their quantum suit and was ready to time jump.

"Five years ago, we lost. All of us. We lost friends... We lost family... We lost a part of ourselves. Today, we have a chance to take it all back. You know your teams, you know your missions. Get the stones, get them back. One round trip each. No mistakes. No do-overs. Most of us are going somewhere we know. But it doesn't mean we should know what to expect. Be careful. Look out for each other. This is the fight of our lives. And we're gonna win. [Tony gives Steve a loving look] Whatever it takes. Good luck", Steve said.

"[Refers to Steve's speaking] He's pretty good at that", Rocket said, "Right?", Scott agreed and Tony smiled proudly.

"All right. You heard the man. Stroke those keys, jolly green", Tony said, "Tractors engaged", Bruce said and activated the time machine.

"See you in a minute", Nat said and all time jumped to their respective mission, Tony and Steve to New York with Scott and Bruce.

They decided that Bruce goes to get the time stone from the Ancient one, while Steve went to get the mind stone and Tony and Scott to get the space stone.

"All right, we all have our assignments. Two Stones uptown, one Stone, down. Stay low. Keep an eye on the clock", Steve said and they nodded.

Bruce left smashing things, Tony quickly pulled Steve's hand and kissed him, "Stay safe", Steve said and Tony smiled.

"When am I not?", he asked and Steve counted his fingers, "Alright, fine, I will, but you too", Tony said and left with Scott.

"Uh, Mr. Stark-Rogers. I almost forgot that that suit [A shot of Cap walking around in his 2012 suit] did nothing for your ass", Tony said as he was in the tower looking at the 2012 avengers.

"No one asked you to look, Tony", Steve said through the comms, "I have every right to look. It's ridiculous", he whispered the last words.

"I think you look great, Cap. As far as I'm concerned, that's America's ass", Scott said, "Hey! That's my husband's ass you are talking about", Tony said.

"Can we stop talking about my ass and get on with the mission?", Steve asked through the comms, but Tony could feel the blush.

"Aye aye Captain", Tony and Scott said together and heard Steve groan, Scott was on the job to get the space stone.

"All right, Cap. I got our scepter in the elevator just passing the 80th floor", Tony said, "On it. Head to the lobby", Steve said walking towards the elevator.

"Alright. I'll see you there", Tony said and Steve was able to retrieve the staff, but Tony and Scott lost the tesseract.

As Steve returned he ran into... well, himself and a fight broke between him and Steve?(This is confusing to write).

As the fight was going on Steve's, the one from the future, compass fell out and it opened showing the picture of Tony.

He had changed it back because without Peter, it made him sad to look at it, at the same time he didn't want to cut Peter out of the family picture.

"How did you get this?", 2012 Steve asked, "Bucky... is... alive!", Steve said choking and 2012 Steve stopped surprised and Steve used this as a chance and knocked him out before going to meet Tony and Scott.

2014 Thanos found out what was happening and switched Nebula with 2014 Nebula, "Cap–", Steve heard as he jumped down out of a building.

He turned to see Tony and Scott sitting in a broken car, "Sorry, buddy. We got a– problem", Tony said and Steve sighed.

"Huh. Yeah, we do", Scott said sarcastically and Tony quickly explained, "Well, what are we gonna do now?", Steve asked.

"You know what? Give me a break, Steve. I just got hit in the head with the Hulk", Tony said and Steve looked at his husband apologetically.

"Sorry honey", he muttered and Tony shook his head, "You said that we had one shot. This– this was our shot. We shot it. It's shot. Six stones or nothing. Six stones or nothing–", Scott said getting out.

"You're repeating yourself, you know that? You're repeating yourself", Tony said, "You're repeating yourself. You're repeating yourself. You know– No", Scott said and Tony sighed.

Steve glared at Scott, "You never wanted a time heist, you went on board with the time heist–", Scott said to Tony not seeing Steve.

 "I dropped the ball", Tony said, "You ruined the time heist", Scott said, "Is that what I did?", Tony asked.

"Are there any other options with the Tesseract?", Steve asked interrupting them, "No, no, no. There's no other options. There's no do-overs. We're not going anywhere else. We have one particle left. Each. That's it, alright? We use that– Bye, bye. You're not going home", Scott said and Steve sighed, he had high patience, but Scott was really testing it.

"Yeah, well if we don't try, then no one else is going home, either", he said and Tony suddenly looked up.

"I got it. There's another way. To retake the Tesseract and acquire new particles. We'll stroll down memory lane. Military installation, Garden State", Tony said and Steve understood what it was.

"When were they both there?", Steve asked and Tony got down and walked towards his husband, "They were there at a– I've a vaguely exact idea", he said.

"How vague?", Steve asked, "What are you talking about? Where are we going?", Scott asked, "I know for a fact they were there–", Tony said.

"Who's they? What are we doing?", Scott asked, "And I know how I know", Tony said, "Guys, what's up? What is it?", Scott asked.

"Well, it looks like we're improvising", Tony said, still the husbands talking to each other in their own understanding.

"Right. What are we improvising?", Scott asked again, "Scott, get this back to the compound", Tony said giving the scepter to him.

"Suit up", Tony said to Steve, "What's in New Jersey?", Scott asked and Tony gave Steve the coordinates.

"Are you sure?", Steve asked, "Cap. Captain. Steve, sorry, America. Rogers. Look, if you do this, and this doesn't work, you're not coming back", Scott said getting their attention this time.

"Thanks for the pep talk, pissant. [To Steve] Do you trust me?", Tony asked and Steve's gaze softened.

"I do", Steve said, "Your call", Tony said once again, "Here we go", Tony said and they travelled back to 1970.

They were outside the Military base, "Maybe if had portaled inside it would have been easy", Tony said as they walked together.

Steve chuckled, "You know it was weird", Steve said and Tony looked at him questioningly, "You need to be specific, because I lost the meaning for weird when Reindeer Games came with an army at 2012", Tony said and Steve smiled.

"It was weird to be back home after 5 years", Steve said and Tony understood, the tower, ever since the war, no one returned to the tower as most of the avengers were gone to occupy both the places.

So Nat went to the compound, while Steve and Tony moved to the cottage and so on, "We will return as soon as we get everyone back", Tony said and Steve smiled and quickly kissed his husband without the others seeing it.

"I thought I was the man with the words", Steve said, "Well I am married to you for about 19 years now, wow, our 20th wedding anniversary is approaching in a year, we need to celebrate", Tony said and Steve smiled.

"We will have Peter and the rest of the family with us", Steve said optimistically, "We will", Tony assured and the husband went to change into their disguises.
