"All right. The glove's ready. Question is, who's gonna snap their freaking fingers?", Rocket asked as they all looked at the glove.

"I'll do it", Thor said, "Excuse me?", Scott asked, "It's okay", Thor said and and started walking towards the glove.

They all stopped him and Bruce came in front saying it has to be him, "How do we know you will?", Steve asked when Bruce said about the exposure's danger. 

"We don't. But the radiation's mostly gamma. [He takes a good look at the gauntlet] It's like...I was made for this", he said and looked at Tony.

They remembered an incident, the beginning of avengers, when they were in the SHIELD helicarrier.

"So you're saying that the Hulk- the Other Guy- saved my life? That's nice. That's nice sentiment. Saved it for- what?", he asked.

"I guess we'll find out", Tony said, "You may not enjoy that", Bruce said...

Tony nodded and they all suited up and got ready as Bruce wore the gauntlet, shouting in pain and he snapped.

They immediately rushed towards Bruce and Tony healed him quickly, "Did it work?", he asked holding onto Steve.

Scott went to look outside and saw that many living creatures, birds, insects newly flying and Clint received a call from his wife.

"Guys– I think it worked!", Scott said and that's when the missile attacked shattering the compound.

Everyone started recovering from their places, Tony who also woke up under the rubble saw Steve's shield and panicked for a second.

Then he remembered the incident and immediately got up taking the shield and searched for his husband and found him lying unconscious.

"Come on, baby. Wake up. That's my man. You lose this again, I'm keeping it", he said shaking Steve, who woke up.

"What happened?", Steve asked gasping, "You messed with time. It tends to mess back. You'll see", Tony said looking around.

Steve got up and took the shield, "At least the kids are back home and not here", Steve said and Tony shrugged.

That morning they took both their kids back home to the cottage because they were a little suspicious of how things will turn out.

They joined Thor, "What's he been doing?", Tony asked, "Absolutely nothing", Thor said and they went to the Mad Titan.

"You could not live with your own failure. And where did that bring you? Back to me. I thought by eliminating half of life, the other half would thrive. But you've shown me that's impossible. And as long as there are those that remember what was, there will always be those that are unable to accept what can be. They will resist", Thanos said.

"Yep. We're all kinds of stubborn", Tony said and the fight between the big three and the titan started.

As Thanos was going to kill Thor, Steve extended his hand and picked Mjolnir for the first time, "I knew it!", Thor said happily.

Tony smiled happily and they continued the fight when Steve heard a voice in his earpiece, the voice he hadn't heard for 5 years.

"On your left", Sam said and flew out of one of the portals and Steve smiled as he saw hundreds maybe thousands of heroes walking out of the portals.

He saw Harley in an iron man suit Tony made and could feel Tony's excitement and happiness, even though he was wearing the helmet.

He searched for Peter and couldn't see his child, "He will be here", Tony said in his ear piece and Steve took his position as all assembled around.

"AVENGERS! [he summons Mjolnir] –assemble", he shouted and all started fighting, Tony and Harley together most of the times and Thor and Steve together most of the times.

As Tony was fighting Peter jumped in and helped him, Tony looked at his son with so much love as he started talking.

He quickly hugged his son, trying to stop his own tears, "Oh, this is nice", Peter said absorbing his father's warmth and Steve joined them.

"Papa!", Peter said and hugged Steve, "Oh god, you are here", Steve said and kissed his son's head.

He missed Peter a lot, "I missed you bubba", Steve said, "I missed you too papa a lot, even though for me it was a minute", Peter rambled.

"He is really back", Steve said looking at his husband with so much love, "He is", Tony said and the three continued fighting.

Thanos got the stones again and Captain Marvel, Tony and Steve tried to wrestle it out of him, Tony being the last.

"I am– inevitable", Thanos said and snapped his fingers, but nothing happened and he saw the stones were missing.

He turned to see Tony and Tony was absorbing the radiation from the stones he took, "And I– am– Iron Man", he said and snapped.

Steve who was fighting the army saw them disappear and smiled a relief and turned to greet his husband only to realize how they won.

The smile dropped from his face and the color drained from his face, he rushed to his husband and helped him sit.

"No no no", he muttered and Tony smiled, "Hey, it's ok Cap", Tony said softly as tears dropped out of Steve's eyes.

"Damn it Tony, you promised me you will stay alive", Steve said and Peter and Harley joined them, "Dad, dad no please stay with us", Harley said crying.

"Dada, I am sorry, please don't do this to us, we won dad", Peter said crying and Rhodey pulled the kids away giving the husbands a moment.

"Hey... it's ok, you can rest now", Steve said his voice breaking and Tony looked at him, "I am sorry, I said we would celebrate our... 20th anniversary next year... I am sorry", Tony said softly coughing a bit and Steve shook his head smiling sadly, while tears dropped out of his eyes.

"It's ok", Steve whispered his forehead touching Tony's and Clint who was seeing this, saw Dr.Strange and marched up to him, "You, fix this", he said and all looked at them.

"I am sorry, I c-", Strange started, "Cut the crap, do you think you are a God? you only saw the possibilities where you don't die, I worked for SHIELD, I know all about you and your selfish ass, I don't care what you do, use the stone, use whatever you have and bring him back", he said.

"Clint", Tony muttered, "Don't, I am not losing another family member, he tries to save his ass by sacrificing you", Clint said and Tony groaned and leaned onto Steve.

"DO IT!", Clint thundered and all winced, Strange nodded and summoned the time stone from Tony.

"There will be consequences", he said looking at Steve, "We'll face it", Steve said looking at his husband and Strange reversed the time on Tony's body healing him or more like removing his burns as if it never happened.

Tony gasped and held onto Steve who had tears in his eyes as he looked at his husband, the kids jumped on Tony making the brunette chuckle.

"Oh how I've missed this", Tony said kissing both his kids head and looked at Steve who was looking at them with so much love in his eyes.

The kids understood and moved back letting the parents, whom immediately hugged each other and kissed.

"Thank you", Clint said to Strange and moved to his family, Tony got up with the support from Steve even though he didn't need it and all walked out, where there were no ruins.

They won, the loss had given them the meaning of winning and now they had won again as always, together...
