hello! this week is a triple update + the first chapter of Insidious Ocean will be posted today!
i'm literally begging for tons of comments these last five chapters! i've spent eight and a half years writing zarielle as characters and as a couple (first supersonic and then this), so leaving them and their story behind is going to be a hard thing for me to grasp.
that being said, i'd again, appreciate the comments. it's been nearly a decade. show zarielle as people and as a couple some love :)
i think it's pretty obvious what the plot of this chapter is based on the title, so i'll ask this instead — what do you think the gender of chase and zara's baby will be? ideas on the child's name?

A R I E L L E
I startle awake to the sound of my phone ringing, but it takes me a moment to register that it's even my cell that's going off. It wakes Zayn too, and he barely unwraps himself from me to see what's going on. In fact, he lifts his head for a moment to look and then adjusts his body where he's spooning me to nuzzle closer to me.
"What is it?" He murmurs, his voice laced with sleep.
I reach for my phone, noticing who's calling. "It's Chase." In a panic—knowing that Zara is supposed to give birth at any point—I answer, putting it up to my ear to greet him.
"It's time," he informs me. "Zara's in labour."
"Is everything okay? How's she feeling?"
As I ask the question, I hear her yelling out in pain in the background.
"She's okay, but obviously in fuckin' agony." I can hear the nerves in his voice and all I want to do is hug him. He doesn't get like this often, but two of the people he loves most in the world are dealing with something serious right now, I don't blame him. "We just got to the hospital."
