"Can you imagine it, me and you..together?" He questioned as we walked through the silent blank walls of the department. To be honest, I didn't I couldn't. How could I possibly imagine living a life with the son of the killer of my parents? I couldn't pursue a romantic relationship with him ever.

Never.

"No," I  spoke honestly.  He looked at me, perhaps a part of his ego was broken.

"Why not, is something I'm missing in me?"

"No...I just can't imagine it....at all"

"Well, maybe in the future fate will tell us differently, y'know?"

What was he trying to prove?  Confused, I faced him, with my eyebrows frowning. "What do you mean?"

"Nothing, forget about it" he came to a halt. "Would you perhaps like to go on a date with me?"

He was creating hope in this soon-to-be wedding, wasn't he? well, it would be a false hope as I wasn't interested in any way. However, I was speechless, at a loss of words; he didn't just invite me to a...date?

"Look-" I was about to explain when he cut me off.

"To get to know each other better" he explained his intention better. "I don't intend anything..."

Even though he had given me the option to deny it, to reject him. I felt as though I had to, I had to accept it and go on a date. Simountesly, I nodded slightly agreeing to go on a date. We agreed on a date, time, and place. I wasn't really excited or anything, I wasn't certain where this would go. Yet, I had still decided to go on a date.

TWO DAYS LATER.

"Serena, can you help me get ready for something?" I groaned as I stumbled through my closet looking for something to wear. I can't believe I was seriously getting ready for a date.

"For what?" Serena placed the book she was lost in on her lap and looked over eyeing me struggling to find an outfit.

"A date" I stated, knowing exactly what her reaction would be.

"WAIT WHAT?" she exclaimed and rushed over to me. "WITH WHO? WHEN?"

"A guy I work with, he asked me on a date."

"So cute"

"It's not cute, help me get ready now."

"Choose this outfit" she pointed to a short, lacy, fierce, black dress, perhaps a little too short...

"Are you mental, that almost looks like lingerie, and it's just my first date!"

"Fine this one." she pointed at another yellow sundress, which looked absolutely hideous.
