In the midst of my attempt to yank the masculine arm away, I dropped my wand. The light glimmered on my face and it began irritating my eyes.

Finally enough, it let go and I motioned around the quickest I had ever. Through the light glimmering from my wand, it directly shined at the person ahead of me. It was then realization struck me.

It was Lucius.

He had changed, appearance-wise. There was no life on his face, the bone underneath his eyes had more visible and structured. Everything had become dull and almost spooky-like.

"Oh, my sweet daughter-in-law" Lucius grinned--it was sinister. I stood frozen processing whether he knew about my second identity or not.

He began slowly clapping, ridiculously grinning at me like I was the joke.

If I had my dagger with me, I'd use it.

"Now, don't act innocent Emerlyn," He continued, taking two steps closer. "Or shall I say, Emerlyn Malory? "

He knows but how?

He must be the imposter.

He is responsible for Serena's condition.

All these horrific realizations pounded my mind yet my body stood still contemplating what to do next.

How much had he found out?

"This whole act....were you really that desperate to reach me that you married my son?"

"And what made you so desperate that you killed my parents!" I responded, rage and vengeance combined.

It was now, I exposed my unknown identity to him with my own mouth.

He had started a dangerous game that I was bound to win.

"Emerlyn." He said, his gaze deep into mine. "I will always be a step ahead of you."

He avoided my question.

"Is that why I was able to put an end to your crime partners?"

"They were always below me." He replied. I had a strong urge to repeatedly pound Lucius with a dagger right in his chest until he couldn't move. "But you're not aware of how psychotic I've become."

"Psychotic, I'd like to see how that works."

He walked swiftly toward me, cornering me to the wall. The light from my wand was no longer glimmering on his face but I could see him. He lunged his snake-like, sharp wand right at my chin--creating a small bruise.

"My dear daughter-in-law" He spoke--and for the first time, I felt fear. It felt as though the devil itself had spawned in front of me, ready to take my life. I feared for the wellbeing of my...offspring. "Don't test my limits."

"I'd like to see what Lucius Malfoy has in store for me."

He took a step back, placing his wand back.

"Then, you shall."

---------------

What was the worst he could do here?

"Perhaps, you want to give it a second thought..." Lucius stood behind me whispering low, we both blended perfectly into the background.

Nothing could go wrong.

I stood still, though I could hear him, and pretended as though he was invisible.

"You're going to regret it."
