"Serena, I have to tell you..erm..something...erm.." I failed to connect my words together to inform her about Mattheo.

"What is it, Emerlyn?" Serena motioned herself towards me, the anxiety increasingly piling up inside me. Either Serena could take it lightly, or this would have a horrific conclusion.

"Emerlyn, you have a tongue," Serena repeated herself. "Speak."

"..I actually forgot what I was going to say..."

Why did I have to be dragged into the middle of all of this?

"Alright then, we're keeping secrets from our best friend to now."

"No, I genuinely forgot."

Perhaps, not now.

                                                                     - - - - - - - -

"It's been... a while hasn't it?" Tom inquired, sitting in front of me, while the two of us were placed on Serena's bed.

"Yea...I wanted to apologize for how I just left without informing anyone about anything after I got stabbed.."

"We're talking about Emerlyn, it's not a surprise."

Before I could reply, Serena interrupted who was sitting beside me.

"Oh yea, how's the wound now?"

"It's healing but it's very slow...and still aches.."

"Emerlyn, why didn't you tell me before." Serena walked towards a decorated desk filled with many unused potions. "I have a perfect solution for you."

"Don't. Please." Tom begged.

"No, I've already tested it!"

                                                               - - - - - -

Serena's created potion tasted extremely acrid. Even one sip left a resentful aftertaste. It was bitter but I noticed a physical change.

To confirm it, I touched the exact spot where the wound was.

There was no affliction. I had healed fully. "Serena, you need to open a shop!" I replied astonished.

Serena's lips transformed into a smile, flattered by the indirect compliment, whilst Tom raised his brows.

"No way, it actually worked." Tom brushed his fingers against the same spot I had.

With no reaction from me, he too was surprised. "Last time, my nose began bleeding."

"Because you were my first experiment!" She defended herself with laughs filling the room.

After the laughter came to an end, I remembered Narcissa's words.

The necklace.

This would be the best time to question Tom about this necklace, he worked in this department, researching and collecting ancient and valuable items for the Wizarding World.

I began speaking to him about everything that Narcissa had told me, along with my formed opinions. He listened thoroughly and reached for the gleaming necklace resting flatly above my chest.

He turned it around, and there was a symbol. An Emmet.

(See image above)

"This Emmet was the reason why I knew something was suspicious about this necklace." Tom began. "This artifact that you're wearing Emerlyn is a neglected piece of history."
