A week had gone by, and I had recovered from my injury. As well as, Barty's body was found in its most horrendous state.
Of course; since Draco was in charge of this case, he was the one to investigate it and he knew it was supposedly the mysterious killer, he was investigating as both victims had been murdered in the same spot, with a dagger.
Kneeling by the pale body of Barty, he studied the dust around him. Whilst, I pretended to examine Barty's desk; giving the effect as though I was trying to find clues.
When, in reality, I wasn't, I was studying Draco.
"Strange.." he picked up pieces of the dusk, his hands covered in transparent gloves while wearing a white buttoned shirt covered with a dark-colored vest, and beside him lay a makeup brush used to locate footsteps, dry blood, and fingerprints.
"What's so strange?" Inquired another co-worker who was sitting in front of him.
"This dust...when I found Lestrange's body, the same dust was there; but I didn't think much of it..." he spoke softly, placing the dust into a small plastic bag.
Just then, Pansy who was also among us joined the room, frustrated and distressed.
"This case is like something I've never seen, I asked the guards if they remember anything or saw something strange, but no none of them remember anything!"
"They definitely used the Oblivion charm.." responded the Auror in front of Draco.
Draco, on the other hand, had seemed to make a discovery, reaching for one of Barty's pockets he picked out a piece of the cloak I was wearing the night I murdered him.
The piece was small but extremely informative. "The mistake I was exactly looking for."
Shit.
When I and Serena were fighting him, he must've ripped a piece from the bottom.
"Looks like, the killer made their way to the office before Barty, Barty then fought them and ended up ripping a piece. Horrified he ran for the door and then they stabbed him right there and then." theorized the Auror in front of Draco.
I joined the group, I wasn't just going to let them catch me this easily. By studying the logo, everyone knew what the next step would be.
I was always going to be a step ahead of them.
"Let's believe for a second, that you're theory is true, how would the killer be able to remove all the memory of the guards, drag them to a room, and make it to the office without Barty noticing even once?" I questioned.
"It's true, how could they manage all of that all at once?" Pansy agreed.
"Perhaps, they could have been more than 1 person involved" inferred Draco, holding the small plastic bag and observing it.
My heart skipped a beat.
"..but we don't have real solid evidence to support that.." Draco continued."Let's pay Madam Malkin's Robes (clothing store) a little visit tomorrow."
A light bulb switched on in me.

"Is it possible for you to show me all records of people who have bought clothes with this fabric?" Inquired Draco to the shop owner, who was ignoring Draco completely.
"Who do you think you are?" Laughed the owner, without having seen Draco once.
"You want me to show you?" spoke Draco, in a more harsh manner; capturing the attention of the shop owner.
He immediately stood up from his chair, with a more serious, regretful expression. "Oh..! Mr, Malfoy..."
He quickly glanced at me, Pansy and Kiaran. (The other Auror)
He studied the fabric, rubbing the slick. "Sir, how are you so sure, this fabric belongs to us?"
"It has your shop logo-"
There was no logo.
"I-"
"Even if there wasn't, we don't sell anything with this type of fabric, you've come to the wrong shop."
"You're the only shop in London that-"
"Sir, I advise that you leave."
Told you, I would always be a step ahead.

"I have to give credit to Draco for being able to figure out the shop where the cloak was sold from," I spoke relaxed, laying on the couch as Tom listened.
"And exactly, how did you do that?"
"Around 6 is when the shop opens so before that.."
FLASHBACK.
I glanced at the clock ahead of me.
10 PM.
I shifted my gaze over to Draco, who was moments away from falling asleep.
I slowly joined him, slipping myself into the soft blanket. I was not in the mood to fall asleep, and it was somewhat obvious.
"Draco, you're sleeping on the wrong side, I was supposed to be the one sleeping on the right side of the bed," I spoke facing the ceiling.
"Oh," he turned around, shifting his body towards me. "I'm not moving anywhere."
"I know."
"I mean you could always move if you want, I don't mind sleeping on the same side as you" he chuckled and I glared over at him, not amused even in the slightest.
"You're so funny and helpful" I responded sarcastically tossing myself the opposite way.
"Oh darling, I know." He came to a halt. "Can we please remove these cushions, they bother me too much!"
"That's your problem, not mine so figure it out yourself!"
I was not in the mood to talk to him.
"Well, it's my bed, not yours, and I want these cushions removed!" He argued.
"Well, half of the bed is also mine now, and I don't!" I argued back in a fit of rage.
"Please" he begged. "They disturb my sleep"
"How do they even disturb-"
"Please!" He was almost whining.
"Fine" I groaned. If it was someone else, I would have never agreed, but since it was him, I'd let it slip.
He quickly removed the cushions and fell asleep. I pushed away the blanket laying on top of me and went into Draco's study room.
It was mostly filled with books, old/broken wands, files of old cases, and old/useless evidence from past cases.
I scrambled through many of the drawers there, finally finding the ripped fabric of my cloak.
It was now I realized how much of a privilege it was to have access to this much at no cost. Quickly, I switched the fabric with another replica.
For the evidence resting in my hand, I burned it completely. Picking up the dust and switched it with the dust he had saved as evidence.
I walked out, stepped into the cold balcony of the manor, and slowly let the dust blow away from my hand and mix into the air.
"Emerlyn?" Questioned Draco who was behind me.
Had he seen me?
