"No, you're not!"

"You idiot, yes I am!"

"Fine if you really are then when did we first meet?" He questioned carefully studying me while crossing his arms.

His question flooded me with memories from my Hogwarts years. While he was in his 7th and final year, I was still in my 6th year.

"The first time we met was when you made fun of me for not being able to do my Prefect duties correctly," I responded to his question.

FLASHBACK.

"You don't deserve this position." I snarled unexpectedly at the comment that Draco was the new head boy. There were many other prefects around me as well. All of them were stunned at this comment of mine, I was quiet, reserved, and introverted. I rarely ever spoke up.

So hearing this coming from me was surely a surprise to all.

Draco turned his head around, clenching his jaw as a sharp vein popped out.

He approached closer to me and studied my Slytherin attire. "You were saying?" he murmured against my ear, I felt heartless goosebumps arise, Draco was a person you didn't wanna go against.

I let silence cover me, as I was highly intimidated by Draco and his attitude.

"You shouldn't be talking." He breathed while catching the attention of the crowd. I turned my head away from him- refusing to face Draco Malfoy.

His solid hand reached for my chin forcefully turning my face around, whilst bringing his face closer. I could feel the scent of hot steamy peppermint reach my nostrils. "Look at me, when I'm talking to you."

We had an intense moment, dangerously gazing at each other. The crowd noticed letting out a few cheeky whistles and quiet cheers which seemed to bother Draco's girlfriend at the time. Pansy.

"Draco, why are you even wasting your time on that prat!" she squealed shutting down the noises.

"Says you- who couldn't even do her Prefect duties correctly." he finished harshly letting go of my chin.

END OF FLASHBACK.

"Well, I apologized for being rude!" He defended himself, bringing himself just slightly closer to me.

"That was years later on my first day of work, and you screwed up the apology too by spilling your coffee on me!"

"That was an accident!"

"No, it wasn't."

And that explains, why I and Draco never got along even after Hogwarts. It was a hard thing to admit - that I still sort of held a grudge against Draco for humiliating me till that day. This explains why we only got along after, I practically saved his life.
