"I mean," Angelina said as she climbed into one of the carriages at the train station, "you still could have got me a pastie."
"Angelina.." August sighed
"George said that Professor scared off the dementor. What was stopping you to just go find the trolley?" Angelina asked, "Also why aren't we sitting with the boys?"
August was looking at George who was getting in another carriage with all their friends. When he looked over at her, catching her staring she turned quickly diverting her eyes.
"Did he like to kiss you or something?" Angelina whispers
"What?!" August looked up surprised at Angelina
"I mean, since when do you not want to be around the twins?"
"No, I just, you know. I.." August stumbles over her words, Angelina smiles.
"Do you like George!?" Angelina gasps
"No." August shakes her head, "It's not that.. Just.." August didn't understand why she was all over the place. She usually can control her moods, especially when it's her moods. "I'm just car sick, that's all. I feel ill."
"We aren't in a car though." Angelina teased
"Oh my Merlin, Angelina!" August made fist with her hands, "Please, for just the next ten minutes, until we get to the castle can you just be quiet. Please, for the love of Godric, shut up."
Angelina bit back a smile. She knew that August wasn't being mean, she could tell how flustered she was at that moment. What Angelina didn't know was that August wasn't flustered because of a boy, but because she caught the scent of another werewolf on the train. The only time August had ever been near another werewolf was on October 13th 1981, the night she was bitten.
"Whatever you say, Moon."
As the carriage approached a pair of beautiful wrought iron gates framed by stone columns topped with winged boars, August saw two more towering, hooded Dementors, standing guard on either side. August stared off at the castle in the distance. She loved the castle, maybe because it was so big compared to her home. She likes how all the windows were lit and she could see the ghost floating by. When she's tucked away in the shrieking shack on full moons, she will always catch herself looking out the small window at the castle. It brings peace to her. At last, the carriage swayed to a halt, and the girls jumped out, coming across a few third years bickering.
"You fainted, Potter? Is Longbottom telling the truth? You actually fainted?" Draco Malfoy elbowed past Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, to block Harry Potter's way up the stone steps to the castle, his face gleeful and his pale eyes glinting maliciously.
"Shove off, Malfoy," said Ron, whose jaw was clenched.
"Did you faint as well, Weasley?" said Malfoy loudly. "Did the scary old Dementor frighten you too, Weasley?"
"Malfoy, I'm pretty sure I heard you scream on the train when the lights went off." August stepped between the third years. Causing Ron and Harry to laugh.
"Why do you look so ill, O'Keefe?" Draco said with a disgusted look on his face, backing away, "Don't come near me with whatever you have."
August faked a sneeze, causing Draco to jump back and his friends lunge forward at her.
"Is there a problem?" said a mild voice. Professor Lupin had just gotten out of the next carriage.
Malfoy gave Professor Lupin an insolent stare, which took in the patches on his robes and the dilapidated suitcase. With a tiny hint of sarcasm in his voice, he said, "Oh, no — er — Professor," then he smirked at Crabbe and Goyle and led them up the steps into the castle.
