And for 20 minutes, August and Remus destroyed Sirius' father's old study, breaking every single heirloom they could reach. They could hear Kreature out in the hallway, banging on the door to let him in.

"You had your trial last summer." August pointed out, "What am I supposed to expect?"

"I wish I knew..." Remus sighed, "It's different, you're still underage. They're using the loophole that you're using underage magic to transform."

"I can't control that!" August snapped, "That doesn't make any sense, why-"

"I know, August." Remus smiled a reassuring smile, "Trust me, I am as confused as you are."

"What am I supposed to do?" August asked tears forming in her eyes, "I need you to tell me what to do... I can't do this on my own."

"And you are not going to." Remus leaned forward in his chair, reaching for her hand, "I will help you. Mum, Sirius... The whole Order has your back."

"I don't trust, him. Dumbledore." August said, "Not since what he allowed them to do to me."

"We can trust him on this," Remus said, "he's going to fix this."

There was a knock at the door, and when Jade came into view, Kreature came scurrying in with a small broom and dustpan. He muttered awful things about the two as he cleaned.

"Albus sent this." Jade held a letter addressed to August from the ministry.

"Is it my ticket to Azkaban?" August joked

"They don't send tickets," Sirius pushed passed Jade, flicking his wand at the room to clean it up so Kreacher would leave, "They just come and GRAB YOU!" He poked his wand into August's side, getting her to laugh.

Dear August O'Keefe,

Further to our letter of approximately twenty-two minutes ago, the Ministry of Magic has revised its decision to destroy your wand forthwith. You may retain your wand until your disciplinary hearing, now on the 18th of August, at which time an official decision will be taken.

Following discussions with the Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the Ministry has agreed that the question of your expulsion will also be decided at that time. You should therefore consider yourself suspended from school pending further inquiries.

"They changed the date." August gasped, "My hearing, they changed it!"

"To when?" Jade asked, taking the letter from her.

"My birthday." August looked at Remus.

.....

"What does this mean?" August asked.

"Okay, so we have more time," Jade announced pacing the kitchen. "We have 4 weeks till the hearing."

The kitchen was filled with The Order. But August was the only kid in the room, everyone else was up in her room, where they were supposed to be, but August knew they probably all had their ears up to the door to hear them.
