"Why are you still on the fence about it?" Fred grumbled, taking a bite of his eggs. August rolled her eyes, pointing at the plate of untouched toast a few people down from George, which he just leaned over the table getting, not failing at putting in a comment about how August was being selfish.
"How am I being selfish?" August scoffed, taking the toast from George.
"You are probably one of the only people who could actually teach us something..." George looked over at August, "I know you're scared that Umbridge would check your wand, so why not teach us healing spells and counteracts? She can't pin anything on you with those, you can use it as an excuse."
August thought about it for a second, and then took another bite of her toast shrugging.
"I just think I would get in the way," August said, "Honestly, don't you think that the others would feel uncomfortable about doing these advanced spells in front of their Head girl?"
"I beg to differ," Fred mumbled.
"Then beg," August said with a straight face. Fred just rolled his eyes.
"I really think you should do this." George told her, "You'll regret it if you didn't."
"I'll go to the first meeting," August admitted, "and then we will play by ear."
The twins looked at each other with excitement, causing August to laugh. George looked over at August and noticed that her tie wasn't tied, nor was her top-bottom done.
"Here, let me get that." He pointed at her tie.
"It's okay." August said with a mouth full of food, "I'll do it later."
"You sure?" George asked, "McGonagall is pretty adamant about the dress code."
"So is Umbitch," Fred pointed out.
"I'll do it later!" August snapped, causing the twins to look at each other with wide eyes. "I have to go." August got up grabbing all her books, "I'll see you two in herbology later."
"Bye," George said, but she was already halfway out of the great hall before he turned around.
"What's her problem?" Fred scoffed, "She hasn't tied her tie since the term started, and I'm pretty sure she keeps getting detention for it."
"I have no idea," George said, still looking at the door. "At first I thought she was doing it on purpose to get me to do it like she did 5th year, but she slapped my hand away the other day."
"Weird," Fred mumbled, taking a huge bite of his breakfast.
"Also she isn't wearing turtlenecks anymore." George pointed out, turning back to Fred, who had put an entire bite of everything on his plate in his mouth, "Fred that is disgusting."
"It all goes to the same place." Fred shrugged, "Also, maybe she grew out of that. Honestly, wasn't she always in turtle necks to hide her scars? Why hide them now? Everyone already knows why they're there."
"She loved her turtleneck collection," George whispered, looking back at the door.
Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and Neville had joined the twins and a few moments later, August came back sprinting into the Great Hall with a piece of parchment in her hand.
"This is why I'm on the fence," August slapped the parchment in the middle of them. "'morning Neville." August smiled at him. Neville blushed, swallowing the food in his mouth hard, grinning with his teeth.
"Hi, Moon."
"Your tie isn't done," Ron mumbled into a fork full of sausage.
