"Hello August." Professor Lupin greeted her, as she walked into his classroom one day after lessons were over.

"Can I hang out with you for a bit?" She asked him, sitting at a desk near his'.

"You sure can." He smiled, looking down at the pile of essays he was grading, "How has your week been?"

"Pretty good, I guess." She shrugged, "I feel like mum has been writing to me everyday now." She giggled, pulling out another book Hermione lended her.

"She's just worried, August." He tells her

"You can call me, Moon. Y'know?" She informs him

"I recall you telling me, only your friends call you that?" He teased.

"I think we're friends, Professor." She tells him, "You know more about me than my friends do."

"I guess that's true." He laughs. He tried to think of questions to ask August as her father to learn more about her, but he realizes he can't ask too many personal questions because he is still her professor and she has no idea who he is. "So you read a lot of romance novels I see." Eyeing the Pride and Prejudice in her hand.

"They're my favorite kind of story." She tells him, "I don't think I'll ever get to experience the stuff I read about."

Lupin watches her carefully, "Really? Why is that?"

"I don't think someone like me deserves it." She tells him and then regrets saying that to him, "Professor Lupin, I am so sorry. I didn't mean- I mean I-"

"I know what you mean, Moon." He gives her a comforting smile, "You don't need to apologize to me. I, of all people, know exactly how you feel."

August smiles in her book, "I do like someone though." She tells him, "But I would rather keep our friendship, then let him know."

"So you wouldn't even tell him how you feel?" He asked, putting his quill down.

"Oh godric no. I'd hate for him to get an idea of us having a shot and then me turning him down. It would be best if he didn't know how I felt."

"That doesn't seem quite fair to you."

"Not everything is meant to be fair, Professor." She tells him looking over her book, "It'll pass eventually, for me."

"You really believe that?" He asked, leaning back in his chair, "That you'll move on from this person, just like that?"

"If I focus on my school work, get through these last few years, I'll train to be a healer and I won't have time to even think about a little ol' crush."

"Is it just a crush though?" He asks, eyeing her with a lift brow.

"Oh, godric." She rolled her eyes, slamming her book in her lap. "Seriously?"

He laughs, putting a cup of tea to his mouth and shrugging.

"I don't really like to listen to her, when it comes to stuff like this anyways." She tells him, "And I'd rather not put him through it anyways. He might not have the same feelings."

"You honestly believe that?" He laughed, "I know you've read everything that has to do with her." He said with a smirk. "You know the companionship is two-sided, if you feel it. He does too."

"Has my mother put you up to this?" She quirked an eyebrow at him

He only laughed, then changed the subject.

"You want to be a healer?" He asked, "I would have never guessed that with all of your hobbies."

"My hobbies?" She asked, "I didn't really think I had hobbies."
