Chapter 4: You In?

No ones pov:

y/n has been through a lot and whether or not she'll admit it she needs a break, luckily for her she has the best friends who know exactly what she needs right now. A party.

Trevor's pov:

"Alright Robbie's sorting the drinks, tank is locking up the cars and Aspen's got the guest list" I list out to my very uninterested friends, now don't get me wrong they love y/n and they love a party but after the whole 'shield' debacle they've been trying to keep things low key and don't think a rager at an illegal drag racing site is the best idea. But I think its great. "Now you guys get on that and I'll text y/n, I'll tell her there's an issue with the books or something"

-------------------------------------------- Three hours later-----------------------------------------------------------

Y/n pov:

Trev called up panicking about the books again, like seriously he uses them everyday he's been shown how to do it yet he fucks it up over and over again, so here i am at 10:30 at night driving to the last place i want to be right now. Right now i could be curled up in bed watching brooklyn nine-nine, but no i'm probably going to spend all night looking at numbers and fixing a dickheads stupid mistake.

As I turn the corner and watch the gates open to the site im blinded by, rainbow lights? Then it clicks when i hear the music blaring, are these people stupid? with the recent events we really don't need to draw anymore attention to this place, we were lucky shield lets us off last time they were here.

I get out of my car and storm into the reception, there he is the dickhead I'm sure is the culprit "TREVOR YOU DUMB BITCH" I yell as i swing the doors open, he flinches not when I yell but when the doors slam. "What did I do?" he fains innocence "Are you dumb or just fucking stupid, shield was in here just the other day and here you are throwing a bloody party" I gesture outside as Aspen, Robbie and Tank come in. "We just thought you needed something to take your mind off things" he says as he flails his hands around hoping for our friends input. "Trevor don't bring us into this. For the record it was his plan and we didn't think it was a good idea" Aspen speaks up as she comes over wrapping her hands around my neck, "Now I know i said it wasn't a good idea but it's done now so why don't we get out there and have some fun" she whispers in my ear.

That was enough for me, I flipped Trev the finger and walked out the door with my arm around aspens shoulder. As she said I may as well have some fun. we walk out to the track, beer lined up along the fence and people everywhere. So I take a look at aspen and say "Trevor doesn't have friends so i doubt he could of done this all by himself" she chuckles and shrugs "Hey, I HAVE FRIENDS!" sure you do buddy, sure you do.

It's been an hour and many drinks later. Trevor's thrown up, Aspen wants to 'get out of here' Tank is kissing some girl from Buenos' team. Wait Jess from Buenos' pit crews here, I swear to god if that fucker is here right no.. "What the fuck is he doing here ?" I look down to the very tipsy girl on my side. "Who?" I point "shit, TREVOR HE'S HERE" Aspen yells out behind us, he didn't even have to see him to know who was here. I walk over to Buenos fist raised with aspen on my heel trying to pull me back. Before i know it she's standing in front of me yelling something along the lines of 'leave it' or 'it's not worth it' but i don't care he's on my turf without my permission surely looking for fight, and im not going to let him walk out of here unharmed. Then all of a sudden

CRASH, the scrap metal wall to our left was knocked down and armored vehicles are pilling in, 2, 3, 6. Motherfucker their back. "SHIELD BACK LETS GET OUT" I yell towards my friends and before we turn to leave we hear "BUENOS, WE WARNED YOU, YOU CUT OFF ONE HEAD, TWO TAKE IT'S PLACE" booms out of the car at the front. That doesn't sound like shield, Helicopters land behind us with the shield logo wtf. "Y/N L/N THIS IS DIRECTOR FURY I SUGGEST YOU GET BACK" Fury yells as guards pull me towards him. "If you're here who the hell are they" i say "That is none of your concern right now, you need to leave" he says as i watch to machine guns rise from to roof of the armored vehicles aimed at Buenos. "NOW, EVERYONE HERE WILL WITNESS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU CROSS HYDRA" was announced and as if in slow motion bullets were fired right at Buenos and but he pull aspen into him using her as a shield.

One minute Fury's holding me back while i scream and the next he flung backwards while flames erupt from every pore in my body, as i fall to the ground in agony. Not the kind of pain you would feel when you prick your finger but the kind you feel when you lose someone you never thought would go. She promised.

Flashback Y/N is 11 & Aspen is 12

Both my parents gone in a fire of my making, I'm sitting on the sidewalk sobbing, when aspen comes and sits beside me. She says nothing and doesn't touch me but just knowing she was the was enough. We sat like that for hours, and slowly my tears ceased and i was only lightly whimpering, she finally reached out. She held me close to her chest, I hadn't told her what happened but she figured it out. "I'm not going anywhere" she whispered in my ear "please never leave me, I need you" i mumbled "I'll never leave you, i promise" and with that she pulled away and held out her pinky, our foreheads touched as we kissed each side of hand intertwined hands.

Present Day

And she kept that promise until now, until that bastard gave her life to save his, now he's laying there a slug in his stomach. He'll be fine, but only because her body took the bullet first. Now the flames have died down, I'm still warm to the touch but not ablaze. I try to to stand to go confront that son of a bitch lying next to aspens bullet littered lifeless body when i collapse and it all goes dark

This is a short one, I felt like i should update this book because i've been busy with absolutely nothing. My Procrastination game is on point atm, anyway I really liked aspen but she had to go, at least we got some of Y/N's backstory. Anyway as always let me know what you think and if you have any ideas im all ears. We are about to really get into the story now i've set it up.
