________⚠ SMUT WARNING ⚠________

Buckle up bitches :)

Nat had told me we were just going home but apparently that isn't the case, "I have one more surprise" she said glancing at me before focusing back on the road. We've been driving for half an hour, and I am starving, wherever Nat's taking us it better have food.

-----

When I glance out the window, I believe we are at the base of a mountain, and despite the fact that we had clearly arrived, I try to act like I'm sleeping, but she had just seen me awake so that obviously didn't work, and now she's pushing me out of the car, telling me, "Come on y/n/n, it'll be worth it I promise." Obviously sensing that I didn't want to walk today. "Nat its my day off I don't want to hike," I said, and she nodded before getting a basket from the back of the car. "If you go up, we can have lunch". God damn it this woman knows me too well.

After a half-hour of walking. We sat on the top of the mountain eating sandwiches and talking about how Sam needed to get his shit together if he wants a girlfriend and how his "Seduction techniques" need some work because he is not as smooth as he thinks he is. We finished eating, but I wasn't quite ready to go down yet, so I convinced Nat to to sit with me here as we watched the sun go down. She seemed adamant that we leave now but I reminded her that Steve was cooking dinner tonight and it was best if we got home late, so she made a phone call and came and sat with me

Natasha's POV:

I told her we had one more surprise but that wasn't true, and now she's insisting we stay up here. So, I called Trevor to let him know we were going and luckily, he knows y/n so he wasn't surprised and told me 'he'll be ready whenever we get there'. These are the types of moments I hoped would continue forever, so I settle back down and spend the next few minutes with the person I genuinely believe I picture myself with forever.

Y/N's POV:

The decent down the mountain was far easier than the way up, and I'm now finally able to take it all in. The smell of the forest, the sounds of birds settling in for the night, the warm touch of Natasha's hand as she links her fingers between mine. I'm not thinking about the work I have to do next week or the awful food Steve's left waiting for us at home. Home, that's what the tower is to me. I never thought I'd feel truly at home anywhere with out aspen and here I am referring to fucking stark tower as my safe place, I just wish she was here to see it.

We make it to the car and Nat kisses my hand before we part ways. I'm sitting in the passenger seat waiting for Nat to put the basket away and I just can't wipe the smile off my face, and its not one of those smiles that hurt after a while but a soft one that makes my stomach heat up.

----

I thought we were heading back to the tower, but we missed the turn a few blocks back, at the start of the day I would have asked her what's going on but I trust her now, I'm just here for the ride. I close my eyes it's been a long day

----

I'm awoken by a gentle tap on my shoulder and a rather nervous nat,I get out of the car before I even realise where I am. Then it hits me, I'm at the garage and im filled with panic and I look at nat whose noticed my sudden change in behaviour and stands beside me holding my hand. I haven't spoken to  Trevor in 3 months and now we show up here what the hell am I gonna do. "Hey Girl!" I hear my stocky friend yell as he opens the door, he comes over and daps me up and pulls me in for a hug "I almost thought you were dead loca" he says and we both laugh its like nothings changed "Ok Jacob black" I say and he just shakes his head. "come on in ladies" he says while extravagantly gesturing like a dork towards the gate.
