Sitting in the back of a SHIELD van. Believe it or not, this wasn't how I thought tonight would go. "So... Hill, what's it like working for a pirate?" This of course earned another smack to the head. "Why do you talk so much?" rolling her eyes once again. "Because-" and before I could continue, she cut me off. Like who does she think she is. "That was a rhetorical question dumbass" wow fuck off. "I don't wanna be here anymore than you, I had plans you know"
She turns to face me. "Yeah, to what, go find some chick to pick up?" She sassed with a smirk I just want to kiss away. It's time like these when I wish I didn't have my FUCKING HANDS CUFFED, but I'm more mature than that. Sometimes. So, I calmed my shit, crossed my legs, and settled on just messing with her more. "You know you didn't answer my question" I said, and she comes and sits by me her face less than two inches from mine, looks me directly in the eyes and slowly says, "and you didn't answer mine". God, I love women. I watched as her bottom lip moved to between her teeth, fuck it. I'm gonna kiss her.
"You know Fury's got cameras in here Hill." A voice rasps from the now opened van door. When the fuck did she show uuuppwoah, when did redheads get so attractive. "wow" I muttered "Who's your friend hill" she questions while smirking. Did she hear what I said or was the smirk just from what she walked in on, and since when did the slight tilt of someone's mouth turn me on that much. "uhh, Y/n/n, Y/l/n, Y/n. My names Y/n" WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. "Are they always this nervous" The redhead chuckles. "Not since I've known her. Which is like 45 minutes" Hill reveals "45 minutes. Is that a new record Maria." Nat scolds while suppressing a laugh while Maria rolls her eyes and exists the van. "You deal with her. I'm over their shit, but fury needs her for some reason" and with that she's gone.
The red head leads me through the doors of a building which i can only imagine is the infamous 'SHIELD Headquarters' ewwuugh, and through to an elevator. Ahhh the awkward silence mixed with elevator music, fun times. "So, What's ya name Red?" I ask now I've regained my composure. She chuckles but doesn't answer my question, and as she opens her mouth to say something the elevator door dings and we're on the move again. Wow a grey room with nothing but a table and a very obviously two way mirror, how original. You'd think organisations would put some more creativity into places like this. Red cuffed me to the table and left, well isn't this lovely, i had nothing to do but sit there and stare at my own reflection. Most of the time I'd have no complaints, cuffs, a mirror to watch myself in, a hot women that is surely about to re enter the room only thing that's missing is a blind fold and maybe less clothes, but beggars can't be choosers i guess. Right on time, the door handle wiggles and in come the beautiful.. oh.
It's the pirate. "So, Y/l/n, you can either tell us what you know about the man you call 'Buenos' or we can chuck you in one of our cells downstairs. What will it be?" he asks. I sit there a ponder for a second before asking "If you throw me in a cell will Red visit?" "Red?" he questions before realising "No Romanoff will not be 'visiting' you in prison" he says and I sigh. "well i can talk about our buddy Buenos then, but I'll only talk to red or hill" he rolls his eyes, no eye hah fucking pirate. He then nods leaving to i assume go and retrieve one of the women, and Im left there again to stare into my own eyes, how romantic.
The door opens, please for the love of god be a woman. YES! It's hill. "Hey gorgeous" I say cockily while she just sits in front of me. "So, you asked for me, I'm her, talk." I compliment her and that's all i get back, this is why chivalry is dead. "Hi Y/n, thank you. You're looking pretty good yourself" I say in a mocking tone. "Talk". "fine jeese. Buenos..... a real douche bag. Quite cocky, and a fucking loserrrr" i say while leaning back in my seat. "Well that's not helpful. Do you know where he was july 9th?".
"yeah he was in Amsterdam, 'being an amaazzing racer'. doing what I should've been doing if I didn't have a personal matter to deal with." I say spitefully and trailing off at the end. "Personal matter?" she asks quirking an eyebrow. "We're he to talk about Buenos not me" I retort "Well do you have any important information, other than he's a 'douchebag'?" she says using air quotes, which there was no need for because douchebag was the correct word. "Nope" I say and she sighs and leaves the room, just in time for red to re-enter. "well, thank you for you're co-operation, You're free to go" and with that she uncuffs me and I'm a free man. free woman? eh not important, it's time for me to go pick up my baby.
Therapy, not for me. Instead i blast music so loud i can't think anymore, right now is one of these times. Driving through the city with the windows down in complete euphoria, the night sky acting as a blindfold seperating me from my problems. There's just something so jarring about the lights coming from the buildings that tower around us everyday, it's almost as if the world is trying to show the light in situations we create. My thoughts now completely left my mind as i surrender my self to the music. Feeling the beats enter my heart reviving me.
Died last night in my dreams
Walking the streets
Of some old ghost town
I tried to believe
In God and James Dean
But Hollywood sold out
There is something so theraputic about music, which explains why songs in musicals are so impactful. It's said that whenever a character on stage or in front of the camera has such an extreme emotion, one that can't simply be expressed by words will use a song to connect viewers. That's how this feels
Saw all of the saints
Lock up the gates
I could not enter
Walked into the flames
Called out your name
But there was no answer And now I know my heart is a ghost town
It's a bit shit and short, but i figured i had to get something out, and i didn't know what song to use so i picked a kinda random one. Please bear with me it'll get better i've got plans for future but we need to get the story set up. I don't want it to be one of those books where you meet tony stark and he's like you look cool you're part of the avengers immediately if you know what i mean. Anyways.
