He lead me up into the emptier parts of hometree. Full of hammocks and branching tendrils to tie hammocks to.

"You will sleep here where I can make sure you will not fall." He said, readjusting the hammock to tilt closer to the one near it. It's an open thickly woven one.

"Are you assuming I am clumsy?"

"No. Dreamwalkers don't sleep in hammocks, do they?"

"This one doesn't. When I stayed with my parents, I had a hammock instead of a bed because my back would hurt if it didn't. My alien body is fragile." I tried to explain.

"Just sleep here. When you are ready, you can weave your own hammock and put it where you want." He rolled his eyes and watched me slip into the hammock.

"Goodnight stern warrior." He didn't answer.

"She's back too." Norm helped me up.

"Jake you explain the things, I really need to sleep." I followed Trudy to our bunk instead of talking to people. What an eventful day.
————————————
Jake and I were the talk of the breakfast table. Especially Jake. He was technically no one to the department, and for someone so unlikely, it was astonishing.

Norm wasn't happy with this. Of course he wasn't. His time will come. He's a hard worker and a clever guy. He needs to assert himself.

I was taught the names. Easy names.

Eytukan(ay-too-kah-n)

Mo'at(moh-aht)

Neytiri(nay-tee-ree)

Tsu'tey(ssoo-tae)

The like.

That morning, the kids flocked to me. They began braiding my hair and making cute little trinkets. I praised them all throughout. They're truly special, smart, and crafty.

"Are you going to be one of us?" A young lady asked.

"I don't know. Eywa will decide if I am meant for this clan or any clan."

"How do you speak so well?"

"I learned from another clan."

"Who? What were they like."

"Mm, they were the Meitayolo' clan. They taught me until I was ready for their iknimaya, it's called Nuäsnayì."

"Step beyond? What were you supposed to do?"

"Well, I heard that you were meant to tame an Ikran, and have a vision. Even those who didn't have visions were still a step closer to adulthood. Just as you all will be one day."

"I'm sorry to interrupt, children." Tsu'tey mumbled to the kids.

"I will return another time." I follow Tsu'tey to the field.

"Today I will find out how much they taught you." He grumbled.

"Where would you like me to begin?"
———————————
I had beyond perfect scores in archery for him. Or I think so, he didn't say good job or anything but he did approve. I knew how to make a bow and a knife and I proved it by making both. And then I showed him my skill at pa'li riding.

"The Meitayolo' clan didn't have many of these, but they leant me one for travel between their clan and my family."

He nodded and watched as I pranced around on the pa'li named Tsyìl.

"Have you made a kill?" His question caught me off guard.

"An animal or a person?" I slipped into English as I stared wide eyed at him.

"Have you killed a person?" His tone changed in confusion.

"It's not something I like to talk about." I frowned.

"Where they Na'vi?" He pressed. I shook my head rapidly. He stood up.

"Who did you kill?" His tone grew darker.

"Don't act like you've never been the cause of a death!" I whisper hissed. I turned away and started walking.

"Was it an accident?"

"Stop asking me questions!" I spat.

"Just-" he caught up with me.

"Just answer this one. Do you regret it?"

"No. He was going to hurt people I couldn't let him take the queues of anyone else." That shut him up. The queue is a sacred, personal part of the body. The entry to the mind, to ones being.

"I'm sorry for pushing. But back to the original question, has Eywa allowed you to kill one of her creations?"

"Once, yes. Yerik male. He fed many of the clan for two nights."

He nodded and mentally noted my progress.

"You may begin a ground search for your sister or do as you wish for the time being in the warmer season, we will go for Iknimaya and we will search easier for your sister." He started walking away before he stopped.

"What was your sister's name?"

"She was called Kea."

Shorter chapter but there wasn't a lot to cover for this one. I made Tsu'tey a little softer to Sanuìti since he's lost someone before and he has to give her some semblance of respect due to his clan's culture. Respecting women no matter the species, animal, Na'vi, alien, etc.
