8:30pm
david smiled as he ran round the garden, caelum running in front of him, "you won't catch me!" caelum giggled as he picked up the pace. david did the same, and before caelum knew it david wrapped his arms around caelum's waist and knocked him down onto the floor. "ha! i win!" david chuckled as he climbed off of caelum. "no fair!" caelum pouted as he looked over at david.
"wanna go get some snacks? and watch a movie?" david asked, caelum nodded as the boys both ran into the house. "whoa, do you need double of everything davey?" gabe chuckled as david reached into the fringe and grabbed out two cartons of apple juice and some other snacks. "yes! i'm very hungry" david replied, as he made his way up the stairs. caelum trailing behind.
david and caelum had both already set up the air mattress for caelum earlier that morning. when gabe asked why david simply told him he was 'playing a game.' "wow! that looks cozy!" caelum smiled as he jumped into the mattress, and nuzzling his face into the pillow. "here! catch these" david smiled as he threw caelum's food over to him. "hey! you know i can't catch!" caelum pouted as he grabbed his snacks off of the mattress and placed them down onto the floor next to him. "sorry" david mocked, rolling his eyes as he walked over to the small tv that was placed in his bedroom. calling caelum over.
"here, pick a movie!" david smiled, allowing caelum to choose the movie for the pair to watch. "this one!" caelum exclaimed pointing at one. david simply nodded before he slid the VHS tape out of the cabinet and placed it into the VHS player. grabbing the remote and leaping onto his bed. "wanna sit up here?" david asked as he pressed play on the movie. "yes please!" caelum giggled as he grabbed his snacks from the floor and placed them next to david, before climbing up onto his bed next to him.
"guess what, cae" david spoke, leaning in closer to caelum's ear as if he was going to whisper something to him. "what?" caelum asked, he loved being told secrets. david smiled, not replying, but instead he began tickling caelum. "STOP! david , s-stop" caelum chuckled, uncontrollably. after a few more seconds david stopped, to caught up in his own laughing that he didn't have time to see caelum, shift over a little and begin to tickle him back. "C-caelum! oh my g-god stop!" he chuckled.
thirty five minutes later
"yes! that part is so funny" david chuckled as the pair practically commentated the movie. that was until he heard his dad walking up the stairs. it was quite a while past his bedtime. "caelum! don't say anything" david spoke, as he quickly shut the tv off and pretended to be asleep. gabe opened david's bedroom door. smiling to himself as he saw david 'sleeping'. he smiled at caelum, able to see him. he's known he was there all day. "c-can you s-see me?" caelum asked, gabe simply nodded, walking closer to david's bed and ruffling the cute empathy daemon's hair. before leaning down and placing a kiss on david's temple. "sleep well, you two" he smiled before walking out and closing the door.
"d-david! david your dad can see me!" caelum exclaimed excitedly, but david didn't reply, he had fallen asleep in the few minutes of gabe entering and leaving his bedroom. "it's ok, i'll tell him in the morning" caelum smiled, as he climbed down onto his air mattress, cuddling up under the sheets and falling asleep. dreaming about everything david and himself did today.
