the freelancer leant down and picked up the mass amount of photo frames that had been growing in the corner of their living room for the past few weeks. walking over to the couch and placing them down, sitting down next to them themselves.
the freelancer had finished their classes early today, so decided that it would be the perfect time to put together their 'photo wall'. they flipped the first frame over before flicking through the photos they had printed out, settling on a cute photo of themselves, gavin, lasko, huxley and damien on friendsgiving.
"i'm ready now, deviant, what is it we're doing?" gavin asked as he walked through to the living room, and sat down beside the freelancer. "we're making a wall full of photos of all of our favourite people!" the freelancer exclaimed, a beaming smile plastered over their face, and gavin couldn't help the smile that fell over his face upon seeing it. "what's that one?" gavin spoke again, pointing at the photo the freelancer was currently working on placing perfectly into the frame, they quickly secured the photo into the frame before flipping it over in order to show gavin. "aww, that's a cute one" he smiled, taking the frame and placing it onto the coffee table that sat in front of them, so they could continue to frame the rest of the photos.
the next photo was a cute photo of just gavin and the freelancer, on their date at the ice rink back in december, gavin was kissing the freelancer on the cheek as they took the selfie, a large grin plastered onto their face. "oh that was a fun night" gavin chuckled, "shut up" the freelancer giggled, placing the new photo into a frame.
two hours later
the process of framing all of the photos and putting them up on the wall took a lot longer than it probably should have. considering after every photo gavin decided he wanted kisses and cuddles, and who was the freelancer to deny their boyfriend of that?
"it looks incredible!!!" the freelancer exclaimed as they stepped back and fully took in their new living room wall. photos of huxley, damien, lasko, caelum and gavin covered a part of the wall. "you did a great job, my love" gavin smiled as he wrapped his arm around the freelancer's waist and pulled them in closer to his side, his thumb rubbing circles on their hip. "hey! you helped, baby, don't short change yourself" they pouted, as they looked up at their boyfriend, to find him already looking down at them. "I love you" he smiled, leaning down, "i love you too" the freelancer replied, leaning up.
gavin pulled away, that smile not leaving his face as he spoke once more. "caelum's going to love this y'know?" the freelancer simply nodded. "that's why i bought a few extra photos of you, me and him, and ones of just me and him, i'm going to give them to him next time he's over" they spoke.
one week later
caelum rifted into the freelancer and gavin's apartment. the freelancer heard him, but decided to stay put in their bedroom, listening in and waiting on caelum's reaction to their new photo wall, and his gift. "wow!!! there's me! on my bestfriends wall!" caelum exclaimed, as he walked closer to the wall, smiling at all of the photos of the freelancer, gavin and their friends. "this is so amazing!!" he giggled, turning around.
he began to walk through to the freelancer's bedroom, since that's where they normally were when they weren't in their living room, before a note with his name in capital letters at the top caught his eye.

caelum smiled the biggest smile you ever did see, picking up the photos then freelancer had gotten for him. there were three ;
1. a selfie of the freelancer and caelum during a movie night, a huge beaming smile plastered upon both of their faces.
2. a photo of himself, the freelancer and gavin on their very own little friendsgiving.
3. a photo of gavin and caelum hugging, a photo that the freelancer took.
caelum carefully placed all of the photos into his pocket before zipping up the zipper on them to make sure they didn't fall out. before running off to find his favourite person.
