angel smiled as they pulled up to david's apartment complex. they'd been on a few dates with david now, having known him since april, but they were still waiting for him to ask them out officially.
they got to the doors and pressed the button for david's apartment, before hearing his voice, the voice that always made them blush. "it's open, come in." when they got to the door of david's apartment they knocked their usual three times, and then there he was, the most beautiful man in the world, in angel's opinion. "hiiiiii" angel smiled, david scoffed "why are you always so energetic?" he asked, which caused angel to laugh before letting themselves into his place. "come on in why don't you" david muttered as they walked passed him.
the last time angel and david were together, he told them all about him, about how he was a werewolf, angel didn't believe him at first, i mean, who would? but after a lot of convincing, and a lot of evidence, angel finally believed him. "do you want a drink?" david asked, angel nodded before following him over to the kitchen. "water?", angel nodded. "here" david spoke as he handed angel the glass of water. "thank you" angel spoke, flashing him a smile, making david melt, but of course, he didn't show it.
two hours later
angel was snuggled up to david's side, watching him game. something they loved doing. "are you staying the night?" angel blushed, they had never done that before, well, why would they have? it wasn't like they were actually dating. "i-if it's alright w-with you" angel stuttered, blushing. "I wouldn't have asked if it wasn't alright with me" david spoke. angel looked up at david's face, expecting for him to be staring at the tv, instead they were met with his eyes staring back at them. a blush fell over angel's cheeks, and they could've sworn they saw a faint one fall over david's too. "h-hi" angel stuttered, "hi" david mumbled back in response, his eyes flicking from angel's eyes down to their lips. angel's doing the same, and before they knew their lips were connected. the pair had kissed before, but they were just pecks, nothing like this.
the kiss was warm and soft, david's stubble tickling angel's chin. david's hand coming up and resting on angel's cheek. before he pulled away, their eyes still locked with one another's. in that moment, they were the only two people who mattered. "that was nice" david whispered. angel nodded, not being able to count on their voice.
"I-i um, i had something i wanted to a-ask you tonight" david spoke, almost sounding nervous. "w-what?" angel replied, in the same tone. "well, i w-was wondering, if you'd like to b-be my m-mate?" david spoke, mate angel thought, david had explained how much of a big deal that was to him. "i- yes! of course!" angel exclaimed, throwing themselves on david, wrapping their arms around him. David let out a grunt of disapproval before melting into angel's touch. wrapping his arms around his mate. "thank you, angel" angel they thought. they liked the sound of that. "we're on a pet name basis now? huh?" angel teased, "i guess so, you little snot" david replied, chuckling at angel's scepticism.
"alright then, davey" angel teased, "you little shit, my name isn't davey, you know i hate it when you call me that" david exclaimed, "if you hate it so much, why don't you do something about me calling you it, davey?" angel spoke again, before leaping off the couch and running off down the hall, david had shown angel his bedroom before, so they knew where it was. "you little shit! get back here!" david spoke before running after them.
