angel was currently away on a work trip, business trips for angel were very rare, and when they did have to go on them it was normally only for a week, but this time was different, a whole month long work trip.
it had been a week since angel went away, david already missed them immensely, he missed waking up next to them and falling asleep holding them. he was so lost when he got home from work each day. not having his angel sat on the couch playing that stupid game of there's.
david sighed as he got home, flopping down onto the couch, and turning the tv on, and grabbing the x-box controller. clicking on 'minecraft', he couldn't believe he was about to willingly play minecraft without angel begging him to. he clicked on the creative mode, the world angel had made call 'angel's world :D' making him smile. he walked around for a few minutes, before entering the house angel had been making. they spent so much time building their houses on here.
the music calming him, he hadn't heard it in a week and he didn't realise just how much he'd missed it. he just wishes it was angel playing the game and not him. *ping* his phone went off, and he reached down to grab it.

it made him smile, there work trip was only four hours away, so they were still in the same time zones, meaning they fell asleep on FaceTime with each other every night. thank god, because david doesn't think he'd be able to sleep without them anymore.
davey 💖 ; hey angel, taking the meeting was extremely boring 😂 , I miss you too ❤️

david swore he felt his heart melt, a smile fell upon his face once more. he was so in love it was crazy.
davey 💖 ; aww angel, i want your snuggles too, can i face time you? or are you still busy?
angel ♥️ ; no! please call me! i really wanna see your face 😊
so david did, he hit 'FaceTime' underneath angel's contact and waited for their gorgeous face to appear on screen. "hi!" they beamed as they saw their boyfriend. "hey angel" david smiled, admiring his mate. "I missed your face" david spoke, a light blush taking over angel's cheeks. "I missed yours too, but we did only FaceTime last night" angel chuckled, causing david to laugh along with them, their laugh was just too infective to not.
"wait, davey?" angel questioned, causing david to fill with confusion, "yes?" he asked cautiously. "are you playing minecraft?" angel asked, a smile falling upon their face again. "you can hear that?" david groaned, now it was his turn to blush. angel simply nodded, they thought it was adorable. "I thought you hated minecraft?" they chuckled. "i do! i just miss hearing you play it" david admitted, "don't pout at me!" he continued after seeing angel's lips fall into a pout at his words.
"that is so cute! awww, i just wanna squeeze your cheeks and kiss you all over!" they gushed, the blush that had fell upon david's face a few moments earlier had made its return.
david and angel spent the rest of the evening on facetime with each other, david only hung up once he realised angel had fallen asleep. the time at the top said '5 hours 45 minutes' "sleep well my angel, god i don't know how i'm going to last three more weeks without you" david sighed, blowing a kiss through the screen before hanging up and wrapping his arm around angel's pillow, hugging it close to him, their scent was all over it.
and then he fell asleep, hoping their very unwelcome time away from each other would fly by.
