"drive safe" david spoke, as he got into the drivers seat of his truck.
angel waved milo and sweetheart off before they climbed into the passenger side, asher and baabe climbing into the back.
"let's get this party started!" asher yelled, baabe giggled, looking over at their boyfriend and admiring his cuteness. "hell yeah!" angel replied from the front seat, connecting their phone to the bluetooth radio and pressing play on their 'road trippin' 🚗' playlist.
david pulled out of the driveway, his hand automatically coming to rest on angel's thigh, angel smiled over at him, leaning across the console and placing a soft kiss against his cheek.
"aww" asher smiled, his hand doing the same as david's, and resting on baabe's thigh, their hand intwined with his fingers. "shut up" david growled, his eyes completely focused on the road.
one hour into the drive
the four pulled into a rest stop, so asher and david could swap places. they agreed of one hour driving each; since the drive was four hours long. angel and baabe also swapped places.
and they were off again.
"david! look! there's that weird shaped tree we saw last time!" angel chuckled, pointing at the tree. "oh my god! what even is that thing?!" baabe spoke, their tone of voice making everyone laugh.
two hours into the drive
"OH DON'T YOU DARE LOOK BACK! JUST KEEP YOUR EYES ON ME! YOU SAID I'M HOLDING BACK! I SAID SHUT UP AND DANCE WITH ME!" asher, baabe and angel all sang, well, more like screamed out,
david shook his head, having had already put up with an hour of the trios singing.
"we should audition for some kinda talent show or something" angel spoke, leaning forward and resting their chin on asher's shoulder, who was now in the passenger seat as baabe drove, "oh my! we definitely should" asher chuckled, as did baabe.
david places his hands on angel's shoulders, and gently pulled them back, so their back was resting against the seat again. he wrapped his arm around angel's shoulder, placing a soft kiss against their forehead.
he never would admit it, but angel knew that he always got jealous whenever angel was physical with other members of the pack.
"big guys jealous!" baabe joked, and asher laughed once more. david rolled his eyes, and shook his head, all while a soft smile was resting upon his face. "it's ok davey, i only have eyes for youuuuuuuu" angel said, singing the last part, and connecting their lips to his. "shut up, you nerd" david chuckled, going back to join in on whatever baabe and asher were talking about.
three hours into the drive
"your turn in the hot seat" baabe smiled, patting angel on the back as they made their way back to the back seats. "wish me luck" they joked.
they set off once again, excited that this was the last hour of the drive.
angel grabbed david's hand, intertwining their fingers with his. david smiled, lifting their hand up to his lips to place a kiss on the back of it, angel smiled back, blowing him a kiss.
"awww, they're so in love" baabe chuckled, "just like us!" asher exclaimed, placing a kiss upon his mates lips, baabe erupting into laughter.
they pulled away and rested their head upon asher's shoulder, closing their eyes and falling asleep.
angel watched as a soft smile fell upon asher's face as he looked down at his mate, he placed a soft kiss on the top of their head, placing his arm around their shoulder; like he did earlier, and pulling them closer into him.
he caught angel's eye in the mirror, smiling at them, they smiled back, looking over at david, seeing that he was also asleep. "looks like we're the cool kids ash" angel whispered, "looks like it! who are the nerds now?!" he joked, the pair trying to stay quiet as they both fell into a fit of laughter.
