I've been reading fanfics of Raoul and Erik having to come together after the events of LND to take care of Gustave and I love it so much...I might make another one hehe
What if reader was there too?

A few months ago everything changed so quickly, so so quickly. Christine came back...and left soon after. Not just that, she left this world. It somehow gets worse: she left her son and husband behind. Not even just that, her and Erik's son and her alcoholic husband behind.

It's been very stressful for all of us but sadly I don't think mine or Gustave's stress has been noticed much. I hate to be that person but mine least of all. Which I completely understand, but I've been with Erik through everything but he's not really giving that back to me. Gustave and I have each other though which is nice. Being a parent is honestly something I never expected to happen, but to be one for Gustave is everything I could have hoped for. We only met a little more than a year ago but we really have bonded well. Erik and Raoul though...not really for them.

I didn't expect any of this to happen: Raoul staying here and us taking in Erik's son who we had no idea existed prior to all this. There really was no option though, to my surprise Erik and Raoul handled that to themselves.

The group walks off the pier and onto dry land, the police clean up Christine's limp corpse which still lies there on the dock. There are tears on everyone's faces, it's a painful silence that fills the air while we all still try to process all that has happened. Raoul walks a few feet away to get some time to himself without anyone bothering him with questions or insensitive subjects. Erik follows him, there isn't much emotion left on his tear-stained face.

My eyes watch them but it's hard to make out any words, instead I just hold Gustave to my chest as he continues to cry his eyes out. Every now and then I'll glance back at the two enemies just in case they try to do something drastic. That's when I see Raoul drop to his knees in front of Erik.

Raoul grips onto Erik's sleeves with a tight grip, he grips the cloth so hard his knuckles turn white. Tears stream down his face as he whimpers, "Please. Please! I lost my wife, I can't lose my son too. He's all I have. Don't take him from me! He's all I have of Christine."

Erik doesn't pull away despite his discomfort, he looks very dissociated but still tries to stay in the present. His voice is much calmer, but it's obvious he's doing everything he can to not break down and crumble to his knees just like the man in front of him.
"He's all I have is her too. He's my blood. He's my son. I can't lose my son either!"

The two go silent as they try to think of what to do. There isn't much question about it. There's a silent agreement to this but gladly Erik speaks to validity this option, "We both take care of Gustave. I'll rid of all your debts...you can live in my house. We're not the only one who lost Christine, he did too."
They both nod slowly to that statement like confirming a transaction.

I wasn't included in that conversation at all but it's something that I'm not sure if I want to be. It irks me though...Erik told me what he said to Raoul. Word for word. We both take care of Gustave...In my house.
We? Just Raoul and him? His house? Did he forget I'm a resident of his house too? It's our house. Besides, I know damn well these two men aren't taking care of Gustave the entire time...I am too. Main reason? Easy: the fights.

They're never ending. There's always something everyday to fight about, big or small. Some days it's worse than others, some days it's longer than others. The hatred between Raoul and Erik seems to only get worse with time.

Erik slams his hands on the countertop, "Would you just quit it, you fool?! It's so annoying to clean up after you day after day! Give the bottle a rest, will you? What kind of father are you?! Do you think Gustave loves coming home to a drunk idiot in the living room blabbering woes each day?!"
