Quite recently I have gotten a job at the opera house near my house. And, also quite recently, met a ghost. Well, not a real ghost! Honestly he's being dramatic about the whole ghost thing. He's a man. A wonderful man! In my opinion, at least.

He's been nice enough to invite me to his home. His home under the opera house. Now, we've been friends long enough where he doesn't mind me coming down here whenever I want. That makes me happy. It's great seeing him, but it's also great to run down here to avoid anything on the surface. It's a nice place to calm down.

Usually, I just draw though. I like to sketch, ink, paint, watercolor, you name it! And, that's what I'm doing currently. Sitting on Erik's couch waiting for him to get home, while I draw in my sketchbook. He hasn't seen it before, I wonder if he would like it. He's an artist himself, he probably would.

I keep my sketchbook on my lap as I draw. Then, I hear the front door open along with footsteps. Erik! My face stays down towards my sketchbook as I try to act nonchalant. He comes over to me silently and stares at the page. After a few seconds of silence he speaks.

   "That's beautiful."

Beautiful? Oh! Receiving compliments on my artwork always makes me really happy. Suddenly, he sits down next to me and leans in closer. His eyes are fixated on the sketches. He truly seems amazed. It can't be that great, can it?

He speaks softly, "May I see your sketchbook?"

I nod with a bite of the inside of my cheek as I try to keep my cool. Our hands touch for a moment as I hand over the book. He flips to the beginning to see every sketch. Awkwardly, I explain what some drawings are as he gets to them. I'm glad he seems very intrigued. On some sketches he pauses to take it all in.

"Truly, this is amazing. These are very inspiring."

My face gets even more red. He smiles softly when I chuckle. I try to hide my red face from him, "Thank you so much."

He continues flipping through my sketchbook. I gasp to myself once I realize what page he's getting close to. Should I take it from him? I don't want him to see! Or, is that too mean? It's my sketchbook, it isn't mean. What do I say when he asks why I took it back? My thoughts cease as he flips to the worrisome page. Too late!

The page is full of sketches of him. He did say he was inspired by my work, well, I'm also inspired by him. How could I not draw him? My breathing stops and the room is still. My talking doesn't continue and I'm too embarrassed to explain. His expression though stays calm. Actually, he looks happy.

His bright eyes meet mine for the first time since he's walked in. "You drew me?"

My fingers nervously entangle within each other. My gaze stays on them in hopes that will help calm me down. After a few seconds I nod. "I did. I tend to think about you a lot when I draw. Your work is amazing and I hope to perhaps one day make a piece as beautiful as you have done. You inspire me."

We meet eyes again once I have the power to look up. He has a huge smile. I've never actually seen him smile this much before. It's nice. Very nice.

His grin softens as he looks back towards the pages. "I'm glad I do. You don't have to meet my level though. This is your work, not mine. Your work is already brilliant. Never stop drawing, (Y/N)."

Eventually, he gets to the last page I was working on. I'm honestly glad he's finished, I have so many ideas now! Before my hands can get back to work he interrupts.

   "May I commission you?"

My heart swells with happiness. He wants to commission me? Hell, I'd do whatever he wants for free. I don't say that though. I nod, "What would you want?"

He turns to see Ayesha curled up on her bed across the room. He then turns back to me, "You should draw Ayesha. She would very much appreciate it. Wouldn't you, Ayesha?"

Her head perks up at the mention of her name. With her cute voice she meows, sounding confused. Erik and I chuckle happily.

"I would love to draw her. I most definitely will. Thank you, Erik. Oh, and thank you Ayesha. You will make the most perfect muse."

Her giant eyes stare at us for a second before she lays her head back down, quickly going back to sleep. My hand covers my mouth to stop my giggling. Erik stands up and turns to me, "Please do it when you are able, I shall be at my organ if you need me."

He departs from the couch and goes off to make the most beautiful music. The first thing I do is I start to sketch out what I want. I will do my best to make the most amazing drawing! Ayesha shall love it. Hopefully, Erik too.
