"I expected you would top the entrance examination but..."

"As the heir to the university, you should have done an excellent job there so I would not get ashamed to face our board of directors..."

Shinki's POV

As usual, my dad's expectation of me was high. I think this is the first time I have heard him say these things to me.

As a child of a magnate and the heir to all his riches, I must do things according to his will. I always lived up to my dad's expectations so I won't disappoint him. And this entrance examination changed everything.

"It's just the entrance exam dad, I can still be on top of the ranking by the preliminary examinations and I will make sure to maintain it until I graduate," I tell him.

"Of course, you should. But you need to take down those two before I get humiliated in front of our board," he grits his teeth out of disgust.

He is not that upset but he is not fine at all.

"I'm sorry if I fail you in this," I say in a low voice. I feel humiliated in front of him.

"You can still make up for it. I just want to show our board that you are capable of the position. By the way, that kid on the second spot was Martin's son, right?" he asks me about the guy and I nod.

"He is in the medical department if I'm not mistaken," he murmurs while walking back and forth in front of me.

"Make sure to not disappoint me next time," he adds and turns his back on me.

"Yes, dad!" I respond with my head high and he leaves the room.

"Young master, it's time for your special class," my assistant reminds me.

I have an hour of a special class in Business and Management every day because dad wants me to excel in managing business since I will be soon running the university and other family businesses.

But...

There are two persons that I want to take down since they caused hostility on my part. That ugly nerd and that Martin's son.

I must make them leave the university right away!

"Yeah," I step towards the doorway and a chuckle stops me from walking.

"Being the heir seems so hard, I guess," he laughs.

"Stop making fun of me, Araya," I scold him and he laughs even harder.

Araya is my twin brother actually, we are triplets. The other one is Yodo. I know we are a rare case.

"If I were you, I have already quit dad's dreams. I can't stand such boring life," he boasts at me.

"Lyndon, you can go ahead. I'll be there in ten minutes," I tell my assistant.

"Sure, young master," and he excuses himself.

"Don't compare me to you, you go-lucky guy," I say and he chuckles again.

"I've heard your conversation," he sits down on the couch and plays with his fingers.

"You like eavesdropping so much, don't you?" I mock him.

"Nope, not really. I accidentally heard your conversation. I want to see you but did not expect dad to be here scolding you for embarrassing him," he smirks and it annoys me.

"Stop lying, bastard. I know you want me to feel ashamed of myself. Stop the hypocrisy," I blast calmly.

"Hey, hey, hey! Your accusations are irrational. Now that I have heard about your problem, I want to offer you some help," he clicks his tongue and smiles suspiciously at me.
