A lot happened lately and I'm feeling so drained. And now, I have to prepare for the midterm exams. I should focus more since it's this week. But before that, today is my inauguration as the new President of the Student Council and I'm heading my way to the office.

My phone suddenly rings while I'm walking my way to the room.

"It's Chocho," I mutter and tap the answer button.

"Sarada!!" she shouts like a small kid on the other line.

"Uh, that hurts," it's true, it hurts my ear.

"I'm sorry, I can't calm myself. I want to wish you good luck on your first day of assumption of office as the new Student Council Prez," she utters and I just roll my eyes.

"Alright, thank you. You can save it later though," I tell her, and I can imagine her pouting right now.

"I can't wait for later so, I have to call right away. Oh, wait a minute, are you on your way to the office?" she asks.

"Yes, I'm a bit nervous. I don't know how to interact with the old and new members," my voice is a bit shaky thinking about their faces when they see me.

"Just calm down. You can get over it soon. As they say, the beginning is always the hardest. Just keep smiling at them," oh, okay. What my smile can do with them anyway?

"You're quite popular now you need to be extra confident and I'm sure they know how to respect you as their Prez," she murmurs to the other line.

"This ain't any school, Chocho. This is Grà!" I can't lower my voice this time.

"Quit it already. You punched the CEO's son and you're telling me that?" she sighs.

"It's embarrassing to reminisce that and I still haven't cleared my name from this devil's drama and his evil doings against me," I burst out at her.

"Well, maybe you can get clues from there," she says and hoping I can.

"I hope so. By the way, let's talk later I'm here now," I say and drop the call immediately.

I can't believe that I'm standing in front of the office door. I take a deep breath before holding the knob and pushing the door and opening it.

I see a few people inside and they pause upon seeing me at the doorway.

"Hi," I greet showing an awkward smile.

"She's here," I hear someone utter.

I wander my eyes and witness how they are dazed by my presence.

"Sarada?" someone calls from behind and I immediately look for the voice. It's the Student Council Adviser.

"Good morning, ma'am," I bow my head to show respect to the madam.

"Good morning. Well, I guess we're all here let's start the inauguration of the new set of officers," she declares and we all lined up in front of her.

She takes out a paper from the drawer and reads it. It's the oath of office. We pledge and take on the responsibility starting today.

"Your first activity is the Student's Annual Sports and Cultural Fest," she announces.

"And it will take place after the midterm exams," she adds.

"I want you to be ready for this, especially you Sarada," she points out to me and smiles gently.

It's a huge responsibility for me and I have to show them that I am capable and I deserve this.
