The moment our eyes meet makes me feel like I'm worse than ice cream, I'm melting hard. His stares are so warm that I cannot help but stare back.
Those eyes I knew to be cold and dark instantly become warm and it makes me feel uncomfortable, add that my heart beats crazily like it's going to jump off of my chest.
"Are you okay?" he interrupts me from daydreaming.
"Huh?" I stammer and I think my cheeks turn red. He tilts his head as if to say 'huh?' to me. Well, based on my reaction toward him.
I look like an idiot.
"Did you hear me?" he says and I did not respond right away. I try to process what he said and realizations come.
I lost the bet! And guess what? I have to be a slave for a day, I guess. Well, I hope it's going to be just a day knowing how deceiving this jerk was.
"Yeah, of course, I heard you," I try to compose myself and act normal. I know he already suspects me of being weird again.
"Good, if you have no complaints then you can start your work now," he shrugs and shoves his hands in his pockets.
"What do you mean I can start my work now?" I think I have not heard him.
"You will do whatever I tell you to do and no complaints will be entertained. You don't have time today? We can reschedule it anytime you want," he tells me and I am like dropping my jaw at him.
"I don't know. Maybe Chocho will look for me. I have to tell her first," I say, and he glances at me.
"Is that so?" he raises one brow.
"No need to tell me you're hanging out with Kawaki today. No problem," I am surprised when Chocho talks behind me. I turn to see her.
"Chocho?!" I mutter in surprise.
"I don't know what exactly is going on here, but I am letting you two go," she says and I think it makes me even more uncomfortable.
"But, Sarada..." she mentions my name and now I am starting to feel nervous.
"Yeah?" I stutter.
"I need an explanation later," she winks at me then she looks at the jerk with a serious face.
"What?" the jerk is trying to ask what she means by her stares at him.
"If something bad happens to my best friend, you better look for a place where I can't find you," she is threatening him, I guess.
"Tch, how annoying. I would not do anything to her besides being my assistant. You don't have to worry," he says then walks off.
"Assistant?!" I snap at him. He keeps his pace and does not look back.
"Chocho, I will talk to you later, okay?" I say and step away. She nods and waves at me.
"Good luck and have fun, Sarada!" she yells. What's that for?
Good luck with being his 'assistant'. How will I have fun if I will be carrying stuff he will plan to buy or do what he likes? It's not fun at all. This is going to be a hell day for me.
I follow him. His hands are still in his pockets. He does not talk, not even once neither look back at me. I don't intend to walk beside him. I will just see his annoying grumpy face and spoil the rest of the day which was already started the moment I met him.
We are silent the whole time. We are walking to nowhere. I don't know where he is taking me. I wanted to ask but I don't want to start the conversation either. This truly is wracking my brain. I don't even have a clue to what he is scheming by now.
